        As a volunteer, nonprofit organization, Humane Society of West Alabama maintains lists of lost and found animals. Founded in 1971, the society offers shelter services for homeless animals. It provides solutions against the ill treatment of animals through third-party authorities. Humane Society of West Alabama offers information-and-referral services. The society has also provided adoption services for more than 80 homeless animals. It has rescued over 100 dogs and nearly 50 cats. Humane Society of West Alabama offers dogs for adoption from various breeds, such as dalmatians, beagles, shepherds and pomeranians. It organizes several fundraising events.

        Overall

        The new address for the Humane Society of West Alabama is 2430 36th Street in Northport. The Veterans Mem Pkwy location has been closed for some time.



        The "extra phone" listed is NOT the HSWA number, but Yellow Pages has yet to take it off. 205-554-0011 is the ONLY number for the Humane Society of West Alabama.

        They have lots of dogs and cats. The animals look with such innocence in their eyes. I wanted to adopt them all. I wish I could. They take really good care of the animals. Thank God for this Humane society and for their rescuing these innocent animals.We r their voice.
