Dental Examination
But I refuse to cut corners. In fact, when I perform a dental exam, I go to the other end of the spectrum. You’ll discover I not only take the time to be exceptionally careful, but I ask a lot of questions other dentists may not think about. Questions about your general health, your previous dental care, the health of your gums and jaw joints, as well as your daily home care routine.
X-rays
We will always offer our best, and most complete services to every patient, regardless of the limitations imposed by insurance coverage. However, some employers, to cut costs, have decided to use the managed care plans offered by insurance companies instead of traditional dental insurance. These plans, while far more common in medicine than in dentistry, restrict your choice of dentists and the type of care you receive. We do, however, want to help you receive the maximum benefit to which you are entitled. We will help you process your insurance claims as a courtesy to you, in order for you to receive this maximum financial reimbursement. Should your insurance company have any questions about the services you've received, we will be happy to provide them with dental x-rays or other written documentation.

In addition, we provide treatment for gum disease and help for missing, chipped, sensitive and broken teeth. We also offer comprehensive exams and cleanings. The prevention of future problems is the ultimate goal.
Fluoride Treatment
We're always happy to meet new friends! Often, your first visit is for a new patient exam. During this visit, we'll take the time to learn your likes and dislikes regarding past dental care, and carefully review your medical history. The doctor will examine your teeth, check for periodontal (gum) disease, check for jaw joint (TMJ) problems, screen for oral cancer, take x-rays and photos, clean your teeth, polish your teeth and give you a fluoride treatment. This is a very thorough exam and it will last well over an hour.

Fillings
There are several advantages to composite fillings. They are more attractive, they use no mercury, they are stronger as they bond directly to the surface of the tooth, and they protect the tooth from breaking by holding tooth structure together rather than wedging it apart as a silver amalgam filling does.
Resin Composite
Virtually invisible when compared to traditional silver fillings, composite resin (tooth colored) fillings are a modern dental technology that allow a tooth to be filled with a strong, chemically bonded material that can be matched to the color of that tooth. This makes it appear to be nearly invisible.
Crowns
The ability to match the filling exactly to the shade and color of your tooth means no one else will ever know you had a cavity. In addition to fillings, tooth colored inlays, onlays, crowns or caps can be placed instead of gold or silver ones.
