Tore my headliner and refused to repair the damage.



I called Safelite and entrusted them to replace my cracked windshield on my BMW 330Ci. When the technician was removing the windshield with a "cut out wire", he tore my headliner and proceeded to say that it wasn't his fault. He did state however that if he had seen the damage that the wire was causing to the headliner in time, the damage wouldn't have been as bad. He also wrote in the post inspection report that "Headliner tore during easy wire cut out at top driver side". I called the store manager and she told me that the damage occurred due to the factory adhesive sticking to the headliner. All I heard was excuse after excuse in order for them to avoid having to pay for repairs to damage that they caused. I investigated further and nowhere in their policy did I see anything related to them not being responsible for damage caused by "factory adhesive sticking to headliner". Please look elsewhere for service to or replacement of your windshield. Had I known then what I know now, I never would've chosen Safelite and would've gone with another local windshield repair company, someone who really values customer satisfaction.

I am very impressed with their service. I set up my appointment and they arrived at my office a head of their scheduled time. I received the same factor windshield which I was concerned that I wouldn't since I didn't ask when I scheduled this replacement. I am very pleased with the professionalism of the 2 man team and then even cleaned up afterwards. WOW!!! Two thumbs Up!!! Thank you!
