Pro Nails

A very cozy little salon with great people. The technicians are mostly if not all Vietnamese but don't let that deter you. There are enough english speaking workers there to help translate your needs to the other workers. There are a medley of lovely characters in there so don't be intimidated to be yourself. Try to work up a conversation with some of the workers, they know enough english for proper greetings and some formal conversations. Other than the occasional frolicking of little children, the store's atmosphere is fairly relaxing, just don't let the minor things bother you and you'll enjoy your time in the salon. Besides, your kids (if you have any) will have a few adorable playmates to befriend. If you want your nails and toes done then I say go for it and give it a shot. You may end up falling for the kind people, skillful artistry, and little munchkins like i did. :-)

I started going to the salon in 2005 and had been in there almost every two weeks for two years before they started saying hello to me Instead of "What you need?" when I walked in. Everybody who works there is Vietnamese and about half of the nail technicians don't speak English. Even the ones who do speak English speak to each other in Vietnamese while they're working on customers, which I find to be alienating. when the employee's children aren't in school they're in the salon running around Which doesn't make for a very relaxing atmosphere. There's frequently cooking odors wafting through the salon because they call can eat their meals there. The decor is typical Asian nail salon. They recently got new workstations and chairs but the brown work stations with black stone counters and dark upholstered chairs combined with wood paneling all looks very masculine in spite of the large sprays of artificial flowers and typical nail posters on the walls. In spite of not being a very relaxing or welcoming place, I will continue to go there because the work I get done on my hands and feet is pretty good and their prices are probably average for the area. Their business is all walk-in; they don't take appointments. So, don't go there if you're in a hurry because you'll never have any idea how long you'll be there.
