Jewish Family Service is a nonprofit agency that provides a range of health care and social services to men, women and children regardless of race and ethnicity. Its dedicated staff includes licensed clinical social workers, psychologists, public health experts, physical therapists, gerontologists, nurses, chefs and drivers. Its family resource center provides counseling for the teen and her family as well as vocational services to assist the parent in finding another job. The agency is supported by Jewish Federation, the United Way, the City and County of Los Angeles, the state of California, private foundations, corporate contracts and individual donors. The agency is located in Los Angeles.
