Home Away From Home Pets

I recently relocated to North Easton, MA with my three K-9 children. Immediately upon my arrival, I began searching for a kennel that could care for my Weimaraners when I travel. I visited four kennels in the area, interviewed the staff at each location, and discussed the services that I wanted. I will not speak ill of the first three kennels that I visited, but I will say that Home Away From Home (although technically considered to be a place where birds, cats and dogs can be boarded) is more like an animal healthcare spa! In the twenty-five years of boarding my beloved dogs, I have never encountered such a state-of-the-arts facility, nor have I met such compassionate and loving staff who truly enjoy caring for their animal guests.



Due to gastro-intestinal issues, my Weimaraners require special food, multiple feedings per day, and one, in particular, has Addison's disease and an anxiety disorder and takes medication daily. Julie, the owner, reassured me not to worry that they would be happy to care for my dogs.



While I was away, the staff graciously emailed and texted me photos and videos of the children playing with the staff as well as chilling out on a sofa in the cozy little guest house in the playground area. I was happy and relieved to know that my dogs were doing well and enjoying themselves.



In short, the children were boarded at Home Away From Home for a week and I had arranged for them to be groomed prior to picking them up. Surprisingly, even the dogs blankets (that I had dropped off along with their favorite Nylabones) had been freshly laundered!
