It was created in 2009 with the goal of providing our customers with a superior car care experience. Overall

Manager of location (was told his name was Rob) has a terrible attitude/demeanor with employees. They did a good job but he sets the tone while I waited for my car to be completed. Don't need to hear the language and disrespect ....unprofessional the employees have to deal with from him - too bad, will not return.

I went there for a car wash and a vacuum. I was very disappointed with the service. The girl charged me an additional $6.00 to wash my doors, you can see one wipe down the doors, they were not fully cleaned, I was also asked if I wanted my back hatch vacuumed, it was not even touched, my cup holders were not vacuumed, I was very disappointed considering I left a $14.00 dollar tip. I also went back for a regular car wash and a hand dry, which I paid for, at the end of the car wash it was not hand dried. I will not be going back here any time soon, it stinks that the service is so horrible because it is close to home, I will drive further though for better service.

My VISA was over charged for the car wash and I had a devil of a time getting it straightened out. The manager at Squeaky was unhelpful and sarcastic. I found another place that is a bit further away but cheaper and more services for the money. If Squeaky had been less attached to the wrongfully charged monies, they would have kept me as a customer and in a years time they would have easily made a few hundred off me.

This car was good the staff there was friendly but the young manger there who was younger than me i am 25 she is letting the power to her head I have a friend that worked there and she kicked me out cuz she claimed that they were biss but I was waiting on my car I drop over 100 every week for detail and car wash I will never return there cuz of her! Until the owner fire her I will find a new place

Had good experiences with the car wash but horrible one with lube center.



I had my oil etc changed here and decided to take them up on the free car wash. I was in the car wash when the battery light went on. I thought the car had stalled and turned the engine off and restarted it but the light stayed on. Came out of the car wash and called over the worker would had serviced my car. He told me the battery needed to charge. I accepted this explanation with some scepticism and drove home with great difficulty as the power steering didn't work. (I also noticed that the brake light was on)



When I got home and checked my car, I found that the engine belt was not turning as it was off the pulleys as a result of one of the tension pulleys being broken. I would have thought that it had just failed as I have a 180K miles on the car but this is what else I found:



1) The engine cover was not affixed to the engine as the screws were missing Did they take it off and not put it back properly and as a result the screws fell into the belt system and caused it to fail ? Maybe/Maybe Not.



2) The battery was also no longer secured properly in the battery tray? Did it come loose when they cleaned the terminals and tested it? Maybe/Maybe Not. But like the engine cover you would have thought I would have heard it rattle when driving. Which I had not.



I called the manager and she said she would check into it. Never heard back.



I immediately brought the car to the dealer to repair the belt and pulley system and they told me that I was low on antifreeze and that my engine air filter needed to be replaced. Can't explain these issues away and so much for the 100+ point check that they supposedly perform.



Frankly, I've seen enough. Too many coincidences and issues to keep giving the benefit of the doubt. And given the number of issues found, it is hard to believe that all of them were discovered.



BTW: before my experince my girlfriend had her transmission and oil changed here and two weeks later a tube carrying oil to the transmission broke, leaked out all the fluid, and the car became inoperable. Fortunately we had just exited 95. She thought there was a connection and at the time. I insisted that it was just a coincidence ......

Had our car washed at Squeaky ...

Had our car washed at Squeaky Clean yesterday. Paid $24.00 for the Xtreme Full Service exterior wash. Was satisfied with the outcome. What did particularly irritate me was that I felt generous yesterday and had intended to tip the ‘crew’ $5.00. Recall on an earlier occasion that the young crew appeared particularly dedicated and conscientious. After the car went through the automatic lane, a rather sizable gentleman, who appeared from out of the office, possibly a manager or superior, dried the car off manually. After he was done, I handed him the $5.00 bill, for which he thanked me. He then feigned to insert the $5.00 bill into the “tips for crew” slot (which clearly is difficult to manage with a balled fist) and while walking back to the building, that same fist, clearly still containing the $5.00 “crew tip” bill, went into his left pant pocket. I couldn’t believe my eyes that he tried to pull off that trick in such a primitive fashion. I was still stunned by what I just witnessed, i.e. short-changing the genuinely hard-working, minimally paid crew, while pocketing a decent tip, that I drove away without saying a word. Troubled by my own lack of protest, I immediately wrote the company a message, via their web-site contact form, in which I laid out the matter. To this moment, I have not heard a peep from the company, which I find a particularly poor business practice. I will not return to Squeaky Clean Car Wash in North Branford. So much for the “honest service” advertised on their web-site!

Typical car wash. You drive in...

Typical car wash. You drive in and put you car in neutral then some men dry off your car. It was very pricey and even though it got most of the crap off my car but I would not call it squeaky clean. The windows were spotted , so I " windexed" them myself when I got home. The car itself was still dirty in places in places. This is no different than the other automatic car washes as far as quality goes. They charge a very high price. I paid extra for the interior which was basically a quick vacuum and it was hardly worth the money. The building is fancy and they have a huge waiting area. I think the fancy building reasons out the high prices. Don't be fooled by the fancy building , its still a quick automatic car wash.

Wonderful!

I went to squeaky clean and I really appreciated the thoughtfulness thAt they had there. They really made sure that I was satisfied with my wash ( even though is was a 6$ wash). I would reccomef this place to anyone!! Great staff!

I was not satisfied with my car wash. I pointed out that my car was still spotted and the side of my car was streaked . I availed myself to the person in charge to discus making this matter right and instead I encounter denial and poor use of language. I do not think that deserved such a reaction. I feel that I was at least a gentleman. I will not return.

I had recieved a gift card for...

I had recieved a gift card for christmas to squeaky clean, so a few weeks ago i decided to stop in and aquire information about if they provided services for my diesel truck. As i approached the customer service representative at the front desk i noticed he was texting on his phone and paying no attention to me whatsoever. I politely asked who i should talk to about lube services and from there he directed me to a lube manager. The lube manager identified himself as Paul and at first he was polite but then i noticed he was demonstrating signs of substance abuse. From there on he couldn't keep eye contact with me and it didn't seem like he had enough knowledge about diesel motors whatsoever. I should have just left but i decided that since i drove all the way there i minds well use the gift certificate to get an oil change. He brought me into the lobby to sit and wait where i could watch tv or get free wi-fi. I started up my computer and tried to log onto their wi-fi and it wouldn't work. i began asking everyone what the code was to get it working and no one seemed to know. If you advertise free wi-fi you should make sure you actually have wi-fi! There are windows where you can watch them work on your car which is terrific but i saw that everyone was standing around my truck and going through my personal belongings as the one guy worked on it. One of them even yanked on my windshield wiper to see if it was "secure" (which is what they said when i opened the door and yelled out to them so they knew i was watching). The oil change was done very quick, too quick. I paid with my gift card and proceeded out of the parking lot when i smelt burnt oil. I pulled back in and approached the manager to please take a look and tell me what could be wrong, he could not be bothered because he had to leave and he got in a green car and peeled off out of the parking lot right in front of me as i was still standing there! I have never been to a more unprofessional business environment in my life where the staff is terrible and no one has experience in any of their positions. I will never go back there and i will be advising my employee that gave me the gift card not to either. This place will not be in business too much longer.

I noticed while I was waiting ...

I noticed while I was waiting for my car to get vacuum a older white guy with glasses tearing someones back wiper and sold it to him. That was wrong. That tells me that if they can do that what else they be doing. I felt bad for not telling the guy who brought it but i didn't want to cause a conflict. The guy also has a dirty mouth when he spoke and told me pardon the french while he laughed. To me it was not funny at all it was very unprofessional and disrespectful. This isn't the first time I've been to squeaky clean but it will be my last.

My charge card was charged two...

My charge card was charged two additional times but I only got one car wash. The car wash was not the best. Half the car was still dirty. Someone who answered the phone became abusive when I questioned the additional two charges on my credit card then told me the owner was the same owner as a feed and grain store directly in back of the car wash but that was a lie. I filled out appropriate forms to fight the unauthorized charges. I do not recommend this establishment!

In the event that this actually did occur, our management staff would be happy to resolve the problem immediately. All that you would need to do is come into our beautiful customer area and present the issue to any of our friendly staff. None of them are abusive, nor would they ever tell anyone that the owners also own the feed store. On the contrary, the owners own eight additional automotive service facilities, are recognized national leaders in this industry, and have recently been awarded multi-unit operators of the year for 2011. So the management staff at Squeaky Clean are held to exceedingly high standards, and only those personnel who meet these standards are allowed to work here. Moreover, all staff have the authority to inspect all cars to ensure that they are clean, and they all have the authority to pull any cars off line for additional "hand services" to ensure that any car that leaves the property is squeaky clean. Also, the entire staff is responsive to any special requests made by customers, and we are always happy to oblige. I invite any person who may read this to come to oour facility and experience our service once, free of charge. Simply mention this response! The car was still dirty after ...

The car was still dirty after the wash. They offered me a free wash but I was worried that it might scratch my car if I went in again. Some of the dirt spots on my car looked fresh as if the car wash spotted the car. The only person that spoke English was a teenage girl inside. The rest of the staff were Spanish speaking only. Maybe it makes no difference but don't expect to ask questions unless you go inside. Maybe I picked a bad day to go there but i will not risk the finish on my car if the cleaning cloths in the wash are dirty.

. One guy seemed cranky and ...

. One guy seemed cranky and unpleasant . He was sort of mad about something. I don't think they clean the brushes very well because when I got home there were tiny marks all over the car. I went back the next day and complained but they wouldn't help me because they said 24 hours had passed. The marks had to be buffed out . Not well maintained and staff is very cranky.

Guy that I first met was angry that I didnt pull the car in straight enough. Kinda bossy. The rest of the staff was ok , but I will not go back.

Update and response: I am not a competitor . I am a former customer. There was a 20-30 year old male that was verbally abusive on my last visit. I vowed never to return. Visa bill arrived and paid it. Two months later I got billed again on my Visa for a car wash that never took place. After being berated by the attendant, I decided to never return. I have since been told that that particular attendant was no longer employed there. I was told the additional charge two months later was a fluke , but was able to resolve through the bank by writing a statement, plus I was not in Connecticut when that second car wash was billed, and this was proven to my bank. Regardless, I am a former customer and not a competitor. I am an auctioneer by trade. I do not wash cars or repair them . My review was 100% truthful.

I do not want a free car wash. If I am satisfied I will write another review. As I said EVERYTHING that I stated in my review was truthful. Great Place!

I've been there twice now. First time was by accident when I was on my way to work and saw their sign with special on a car wash. The price was right and so I tried it out. The car came out great, even the rims came out clean. Second time I needed an oil change. The man (Paul?) showed me what I needed and got it done quickly and at the right price! Nice people, great service.
