General Info

Through my work I strive to help clients gain greater insight into themselves and their lives and to build and shape their innate strengths into a more meaningful and fulfilling existence. My approach to therapy is collaborative and based on mutual respect and a partnership between myself and my client. Within my practice, I work with individuals ages five and up, couples, and families. I view people holistically, and to this end, see personal and interpersonal difficulties as being due to the interplay between psychological, social, and biological factors and believe that change in one area can often spark change in others. While I work with a great variety of presenting issues, I have specialized training and experience in working with mood, anxiety, and trauma based disorders, gender dysphoria, and couples counseling through the use of Emotionally Focused Therapy.

Services/Products

Capital Connections Counseling offers counseling to individuals age 5 and above, couples, and families. I utilize an eclectic approach to counseling to meet the needs of my clients, while relying heavily on tools from cognitive-behavioral and family systems models of therapy. I work with clients who present with a wide variety of concerns, including but not limited to life transitions, relationship or career dissatisfaction, grief and loss, and trauma based disorders.
