Growing Within Counseling by Heather H. Yzzi, M.S. Ed, NCC

Heather is an exceptional counselor. She has helped me come to terms with myself, provided guidance and assurance, and given me tips on developing my own healthy coping mechanisms.



When I first came to her, I was very nervous as I had never been to a counselor before. My friends who had gone to see therapists had varying degrees of success, tho for the most part they were all negative. "They didn't listen. They didn't understand. I didn't want to talk about xyz but they made me." Etc. So coming into this, I was wary. However, I had to see someone, and on a whim, chose Heather and Growing Within Counseling.



Heather was very welcoming and understood my apprehension. I didn't know where to start or what to talk about. She let me dictate the pace of our sessions. We never explored topics that I did not want to talk about, ensuring a trusting atmosphere. I always left the session feeling a little more clear-headed -- definitely felt a load off my chest. It was amazing and worth every bit of the time invested into going to a counselor.



In conclusion, I highly recommend Heather / Growing Within Counseling to anyone and everyone!
