Founded in 1970, Resources for Human Development, also known as RHD, is a nonprofit, social service organization that provides a variety of support services for individuals with mental illness, developmental disabilities, homelessness, and drug and alcohol addiction. It administers various programs that include job training, transportation, crisis intervention, health care, workforce development, vocational training, and crime and delinquency prevention services. Resources for Human Development is funded by several government and private sources, including the United States District Court, Department of Housing and Urban Development and Wake County Human Services. The organization offers its services throughout the states of Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Louisiana, Massachusetts, New Jersey and North Carolina. Headquartered in Philadelphia, Resources for Human Development maintains a location in Norristown, Pa.
