Overall

RJH is the worst company to rent from.So far I have been charged for maintanance requests(including the gas for the maintenance guy to come out!), twice they have entered the home without permission. They are bullies, I have been told since I am only a tenant and I don't own my own home they can come into the home anytime they want. I have 2 more months till my lease is up, it's been a very long year with this company and I would never recommend this company even to my enemy.

THOUGHT ID GIVE HEADS UP ON GLEN OAKS CT PROPERTYS. THEY GOT SOMEONE LIVING IN NEIGHBORHOOD TO WATCH EVERYONE TO MAKE SURE THEY R GOOD TENANTS. SEEN ALOT PPL COME AND GO B/C OF THIS. WOULDNT BE SHOCKED IF OTHER COMPLEXES ALSO HAVE SAME THING AS HERE. BUT DANG READING REVEIWS ON THIS COMPANY ARE BAD!!!

Moved into my apartment and a week later discovered the apt had cockroaches and they came and put a few roach motels down, problem still went on so they started spraying and putting down bait still the cockroaches persisted. Now 4 months later i still have cockroaches and i begged them to try something new like a fogger and they refused and said they will keep doing the same thing that hasn't worked in four months. Not only that they are now annoyed by my complaints and pretty much tellin me to deal with it or move out. If they had cockroaches in thier own home i am sure they would not let the problem continue for as long as i have dealt with it. By the way i keep a very clean home and all food products have been sealed since i discovered the problem and i have never had cockroaches and any of my previous homes

I have been renting from this company for the past 3 months and have had a pretty dissatisfying experience. The original property manager didn't upkeep the house as expected. My biggest concern is that we have had two unannounced visits without prior notice. I;m not a property law professional, but I'm pretty sure that's trespassing.

Not very efficient

I applied for a home listed by this company about two weeks ago. I called periodically to check on the status of my application and kept getting the run around. Basically "call this person, call that person". Today I finally get a hold of the right person and the first thing they say " is didn't so and so call you " and I said yes they told me to call you! None the less they apparently had leased out the property two days ago which was a Sunday and just never called to tell me. I completely understand first come first serve but I would have definitely appreciated a straight story off the bat. I do not recommend even trying to rent through this company.

If you can, rent elsewhere

I've lived in Norman since 2004 and I've rented apartments and houses throughout that amount of time, never with a bad experience. You may be tempted to ignore the negative reviews on this site, thinking "well every place has negative reviews" like I did, but I'm warning you now to take them very seriously. RJH is fine while you're living there. It's once you move out that they become a problem.

We lived in our apartment for 2 years. We are both VERY clean people and took extremely good care of our unit. We lost our entire deposit and had to fight to not owe extra. They claimed that they had to repaint the entire unit when we left. Now, they had just repainted it when we moved in, so overall it was fairly new paint. They cited a few minor scuffs on the walls, dust stains on the upstair's ceiling from the fan, and smoke damage behind the refrigerator that apparently occurred when we burned some food in the oven. However, there were no pictures of the smoke damage so I can't comment for sure on its actual condition. These stains and marks on the walls apparently warranted an ENTIRE unit repaint. Looking at the pictures, it is highly evident that some minor touch-ups or, at most, the one wall, ceiling, and space behind the refrigerator being repainted would have brought the unit back to the state it was in when we moved in.

I've been fighting this charge for weeks now and just finally got them to reduce our amount owed to $0 and close out the account. It was only after I referenced an instance last 4th of July that they agreed to this reduction. Our air conditioner went out and we had to go without air conditioning for 2 days in 110 degree temperature because they were all out of the office and nobody would answer the emergency maintenance line that'a supposed to be monitored 24/7.

I'm not one to typically post negative reviews, but I feel very strongly about the way our move-out was handled. Please, listen to the warnings on this site and consider everything before you decide to rent from this company.

From my personal experience: NEVER rent or do business with these people. Amanda Mayo is totally incompetent and lies through her teeth. I don't know why Rudy Hymer hired her; maybe she is in the family.

Some examples: promises security deposit back, and then goes back on her word; promises repairs will be done, and they are still not done 2 months later; never returns emails or phone calls. RJH Realty is bad news!!

I've rented a lot of places, but never run into anyone as bad as RJH!

I am a current renter. After today I am now looking elsewhere. Today was the straw that broke the camel's back. I've lived in this somewhat new house for 2 1/2 years. Every season without fail either the heat goes out or the air goes out. This time my A/C has been out for going on 4 days. I'm sure when the employees of RJH go home after a long day of work their air works just fine. Today I found out from the repairman who couldn't fix my A/C that they forgot about me. Isn't that cute? They forgot someone who pays them rent every month, but I'll bet you my deposit, they'd haul me into court in the blink of an eye if I were late with my rent. I've seen them do it to others. I don't expect my deposit back based on the other reviews I've read. I just wonder at what point do we as renters have rights? Here's to night 4 of no A/C in the middle of August. My thanks go especially to Amanda who made me really feel like a priority today. My kids thank you too. Signing off from my 86 degree house.

Very dishonest people. Several hidden charges. When called to questions, they never gave any straight answers, but stated new management, new policies.



Made several attempts to resolve the issue, left messages, they never returned my calls.



Every hidden charges when not paid right away, would result in a court summons and eviction notice, which I was informed I had to pay for the time it took to fill out the paperwork. The last draw was a court summons for a $4.55 charge they never explained the reason for.



Stayed 2 years....6 attempts to evict us, highest fee they stated we owed was $145, lowest was $4.55.



As a married couple in our 40's, we took care of the house, so we expected something back from our deposit. Nothing!
