Lucky Thai Elephant Restaurant

This restaurant was recommended by the manager of the RV park where we are staying. She said it was the best Thai restaurant in town and she was right.



The prices are reasonable, portion size is generous, the food is cooked to perfection and even better is that the service is very good.



We both ordered Pad Thai and while hubby likes his "hot", I like mine medium. Each was cooked exactly as we requested. I ordered mine with shrimp and it came with 6 very large shrimp.



I highly recommend this restaurant.

We were staying in Yachats Oregon and looking for a good Thai restaurant when we stumbled acrossed this funny yellow building that said Thai Elephant. Lucky for us we decided to give it a try. We are vegans, so it is very hard to find a restaurant on the coast to accomodate us. The whole lunch menu can be made with meats, fish or tofu and veggies so it is very easy to eat in this restaurant. Lunch came with a great little bowl of soup, followed by a very ample portion of the lunch entree and we asked for brown rice ($1.00 xtra). The Lunch entree wqas $6.95.....Being from Caloifornia, we were very surprised at the value. Wonderful, flavorful food and very clean. You shouldn't pass this place up in you are in Newport Oregon. We will stop in again for sure!!!
