I went in to get four new tires because two of my tires were going bad and they had a promotion for four tires. The price they quoted was decent and I have heard them be talked up before. I dropped my car off at 730 am and received the first call at 1230 pm. They stated everything was fine except the last alignment. I showed at 345, when they closed at 400, and it still was not done. It took an additional hour for them to complete it. A total of 10 hours to complete the work and I missed my family Christmas Party. Buyer be

HORRIBLE

I went into tire discounters a week and a half ago and had a horrible experience!!! I had a doughnut on my car due to my tire having a nail in it. We'll I first went to Midas they took the tire off bc they said my best broke in the tire. I took it to tire discounters due to the fact I bought my tires there less than a year ago. They did sell me a new tire at a discounted price. There was one person in the waiting room so I assumed it wouldn't take all day (and the guy at the desk kept saying my car is going back soon) I sat there for almost three hours, waiting on someone to take the doughnut off and replace the new tire... I feel like the should have told me an estimated time and not let me wait and wait and wait.... Just to change a tire!!!

And then two days later I get a call from them asking how it was... I told him it was horrible I told him my story and the guy goes"oh ma am I'm sorry I'm not sure what to say?" Then why are you calling me asking how my visit was... If you don't know what to say??? So unprofessional and never going back there EVER again!!!

I recently visited this store in direr need of repairs to my 2002 ford . My tire was wobbling really bad. I knew that Tire Discounters just opened a store in Newport Ky. So I stoppped there for help as my car was not in drivable condition. I noticed that I had two wheel studs and lug nuts missing. So I got and estimate, which I thought was too high to begin with ($95). But I was stranded and the counter guy knew he could charge more.

A day later I get a call from the counter guy who told me that additional work had to be done, due to a stripped bolt. I needed a part called “knee” or “Knuckle” which the front right wheel attaches. The price he quoted for a USED PART was $240. I asked what a new part would cost and he did not know, he did not even check to see what it would cost. He also said that a new part is double the price of USED PART…. So I did some research of my own…

On the ford genuine parts website costs were from $276.00 to $405.

This is a big difference, do to the fact that I would have liked a new part not a used one. For the simple reason that this part could be wore out too….I also asked another counter guy, why it was not marked as “used” on my invoice. He did not have an answer for me.

Because I had no choice, I had to get the work done. I feel that Tire Discounters over charged me for this part.

Call it what you want, I feel cheated and have a bad feelings, that when I break down again, I will think twice about going to tire discounters in the future. Sent this letter to GM with no response...He really care too.....

I came here thinking that I had a chance at getting decent service, which was a terrible idea because I've never known a brand name car service place that actually did things right. I just learned to assume that 9/10 workers in car shops hated working on cars. About a year ago, I purchased a set of 4 tires and a warranty on each of them in case i had an accidental blowout. Each tire was changed IN SHOP. I also specifically asked for their alignment, as to lengthen their life. fast forward about a year later, and one of my tires blowout just a day prior to coming to the shop. I have my tire in hand when I get to the shop, and ask if my warranty covers the tire. (of course, it doesn't. it was an alignment issue. Which technically would be their fault for not aligning my tires.) Now, I wonder, after receiving a slip saying my alignment was done when I got my tires changed, why it wasn't aligned. So I ask, and turns out, the MANAGER signed off on a lie! My tires were never aligned to begin with. In fact, they hadn't even put in the system that I had requested my alignment gets done. Last time I go to their shop and I will be speaking with a regional manager soon.. A lack of professionalism from the company could have costed me my life, as well as others.

I know I should probably be literate with a car enough to know when my tires need aligning but sadly I'm not. Still doesn't fix the issue at hand either.

Tire Discounters in Newport, ...

Tire Discounters in Newport, Pavilion Parkway is a place you can’t trust. They will sell you a set of tires, highly marked up, then miss lead you in thinking that you have a major problem with another part of your car. After giving you a estimate 3 times higher then the locale shops, they say your car not fit to drive you shouldn’t drive it tell they fix it. Just stay away from this place, they don’t know what they are doing. Try a place just down the street called Raaker Tire Service or Cooks Auto Services, places you can trust that don’t cost an arm and a leg.

After having a very negative experience earlier this morning at the Car-X in Edgewood, KY, where I originally had tires I purchased on tirebuyer.com sent for installation, I called my local Tire Discounters here in Newport, KY, to ask if they were actually familiar with BMW and its TPMS. I spoke with Wesley who was very polite and professional. Fortunately, he said they could handle BMW and could perform the tire installation and wheel alignment today! So I came in as a walk-in, and there was a wait of about 2 hours. Wesley remembered my first and last name from our phone conversation, verified that installation would be $25 per tire (which is exactly what he told me over the phone), and he was able to match the cost of the alignment with Car-X for $59.99 (their usual is $79.99, or otherwise free with purchase of 4 tires directly from Tire Discounters). They did the work superbly and even reset the BMW TPMS within the car. However, the most incredible piece came at check-out. Given my wait (which I expected anyway), Wesley didn't charge me for the tire installation--just the wheel alignment! I am known for being hyper-critical of customer service when it's upsetting, but this was so vastly different and so extremely positive, I'm compelled to share with readers online. I will definitely return to Tire Discounters in the future when I need new tires! I'm very pleased they opened a location right here in Newport.
