I saw Dr. Schaffer 4 years ago and I'm writing this review because I'm still devastated about the teeth she left with me and angry about my experience with her that I feel compelled to warn people with my story. Many years ago I was in an accident that lead me to replace the front center top four and bottom teeth with veneers. After a failed implant on the top row I came to Dr. Schaffer for a bridge. During the first consultation things seemed okay but she was a little talkative, so to make sure we were on the same page and I would be happy with teeth I asked her to wait for some pictures. Before I sent anything I get a call about my next appt and was told she already sent it to the lab. Well since it was already done I went to the appt, she then bullied me into trying on the bridge by saying I had mental issues / body dysmorphia because I was unhappy with the quality and her not listening. After more shaming comments, she demanded I at least let her try to put it in. The first thing she did was grind a U shape into my $4000 dollar bottom teeth without my permission to fit the monstrosity bridge in the top. I then had to kindly ask her to reshape them she gave me a nasty's look and made the attempt but they were ruined , the teeth were half the original height and left oddly shaped due to her lack of aesthetic ability. The bridge itself sticks passed my bottom lip so far out that I'm still embarrassed to smile. After seeing the final result I just started crying. She proceeded to scream at me saying I was ridiculous while justifying and defending herself a I couldn't take it and just left in tears. I still cant believe a doctor in general could behave in such way and treat someone like that. Since then estimates to fix my teeth have been $8,000 which is unaffordable for me, I live with the regret of having gone to her. So please if you want to be treated with even basic respect as a human and you expect quality work stay away from this office.
