Overall

We had Lacey come out to fix a water leak at our church/school. We were originally quoted $1200 to cut a hole and to repair the leak in our main water line. We were told it could be more once they got in and found out what was wrong. The water was leaking up through the asphalt and creating a puddle. They came out on Friday and assessed the problem and charged us for that visit in addition to the $1200 quote. This quote did not include putting asphalt back into the hole. They came out on Monday and dug down to find the leak. The leak was under the place where the puddle was, but the six foot hole they had cut in the asphalt was the other direction, so we were informed that there would be an additional $600 charge to cut the hole out bigger (in the right direction). Based on where the leak was, I would have cut the hole that direction to begin with. We called and asked why it would be so much and we were informed that there would be 4 additional hours of labor so that was the justification for the extra $600 (that's pretty expensive labor). The job was done, and I will say that the guys who fixed it did a good job on the repair, but when they came in, we told them to leave the bill and we would have our accounts payable person send them a check. They contacted their office and the lady there said we had to pay right now. It made us feel like they thought we wouldn't pay. I thought commercial accounts got a little time to write the check. Needless to say, we will NEVER use Lacey Mechanical again, and we will let everyone we can know that they needlessly overcharge and just nickel-and-dime you to death.

We had to put 3 motors in because customer kept messing with unit. Customer started a fire due to he wired electrical himself and it was done improperly. We replaced motor & advised him to call a LICENSED electrician. He did not do so and continued to run wires himself. He blew the motor a second time a few days later. We changed out again. Customer still refused to hire electrician. We had to service once more duet o customers wiring issues. We replaced motor and advised customer we will not work on unit again until he has the electrical done by a licensed electrician. customer upset we would not contonue to work on unit and filed complaint. If he would of just called electrician we would not have had to put in 3 motors.

Overall
WORSE THAN USELESS

Sold us a unit, but did not tell us about required maintenance plan to maintain warranty. It was to be 10 years parts and labor and lifetime on compressor and heat exchanger.

Now they said because we did not pay them to come out twice yearly we have not warranty. Something is wrong with the unit. It cannot maintain 77 degrees when it is 84 outside. They say they cannot find a problem. We are stuck with their bill and the electric bill of a system that runs and runs.

Plus they did electical for us at the same time. Bathroom heaters were installed wrong, plugs no longer work.

They charged us too much to begin with but were local. Plus their shabby and irresponsible work is costing us even more.

THEY ARE WORSE THAN USELESS!!

DO NOT CALL THIS COMPANY FOR ANY REASON!!

We notify all customers before a unit is installed that they are required to maintain the system twice yearly to keep warranty. It is listed right on our porposal and the customer has to sign that proposal before work is started. The only reason we would not go back to a customers house if the unit is not working is if the customer refuses to pay. In this case the customer voided their warranty by not having maintenance done and they still want the unit fixed for free. We have no problem making repairs to a system and getting it working correctly but in this case they are the ones that voided their end of the contract not us.

Overall
very unprofessional

We used them for the plumbing in our new home and they didn't ask questions or refer to plans or the fixtures we had purchased. Then didnt show up when they were suppose to and when expected the home owner to come up with solutions to their problems they created. Took zero responsibility for their screw ups.

When building a new house we always give the bids with fixtures that we plan to provide. The customer then has the option to upgrade those fixtures or purchase their own. If the customer purchases their own they are aware there is no warranty on their fixtures and they are told when to have the fixtures there and they are responsible for letting us know what they buy. If a customer does not have their fixtures we will not make two trips out to get half the work done and then go back. We will complete the job in one trip. Any probelsm we run into on customer provide fixtures is usually due to the customer forgot to tell us which fixtures they went with or because the customer changed their mind. We stand by our work 100%.
