The Women s Prison Association provides supports services to women with criminal justice history. Its service areas include employment, housing, family, health and well-being and criminal justice compliance. The association provides HIV counseling and testing services for women in the community, prisons and correctional facilities. It also offers assistance with mental health issues, including trauma and sexual abuse. The Women s Prison Association also provides staff training on the criminal justice, foster care and family court systems for community agencies and government departments. The association, founded in 1845, is located in Brooklyn, N.Y.
