        Dr. Jamali is a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon. After obtaining his doctorate degree from Tufts University in 1995, he then attended the dental anesthesiology program at Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in New Jersey. During this unique opportunity in his training, he performed more than 1,200 general anesthesia cases. This experience has given him an appropriate foundation for the administration of anesthesia and pain control for patients in our private practice. Few surgeons in the country have completed this additional training. Dr. Jamali started his career as a general dentist and dedicated 9 years to patient care. His pursuit of excellence was manifested in his cosmetic dentistry cases that were completed during that period. Dentistry was an exciting and rewarding career for Dr. Jamali. However, he took his career a step further and decided to become a surgeon. He completed 1 year of surgical internship at Downstate Medical Center and 4 years of residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at Kings County Hospital Center in Brooklyn, New York, which is one of the largest level one trauma centers in the country. During his residency he received extensive training which included rotations through internal medicine, anesthesia, general surgery/trauma, plastic surgery and otolaryngology. Dr. Jamali practices a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from dental implant surgery and wisdom tooth removal to corrective jaw surgery. This also includes techniques designed to rebuild bone structure with minimal surgical intervention and optimal patient comfort. We can also diagnose and treat facial pain, facial injuries, and fractures. The surgical staff at Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery of New York, are experienced, certified oral and maxillofacial surgical assistants with CPR certification.

        Finding the right oral surgeon can be nerve wrecking- Dr. Jamali took the time to explain the procedure, and make sure I was comfortable. Would definitely recommend!

        Very attentive -- couldn't recommend more

        I saw Dr. Jamali after the gums around my wisdom teeth got infected. I unfortunately had strep at the time, so he advised against operating immediately. He set up an appointment for the next week, and gave me a great rundown of the procedure. During the surgery, he kept my family aware of everything that was happening. Later that day, he even texted me to check in! Couldn't recommend more -- the office was very helpful and prompt.

        Super easy, painless process

        Dr. Jamali extracted two of my teeth, and it was a really easy and smooth process from start to finish. I've had teeth extractions done in the past, and Dr. Jamali performed the quickest, most pain-free procedure I've had (it was over so quickly that I had a big surprise when he told me it was done). I always feel like I am in the hands of a skilled surgeon with Dr. Jamali and feel confident that he'll take good care of me and my health.

        10/10 - I can't praise Dr. Jomali and his team enough!!

        My experience with Dr. Jomali and his staff has been great! I feel that he did an all around great job, especially with respect to making sure all my questions and concerns were answered sufficiently. He even personally followed up with me after my extraction, which I thought was very considerate. Nina, the office receptionist, has also been a pleasure to work with, and has been super helpful with any scheduling needs or questions. I can't recommend Dr. Jomali and his team enough - hopefully I won't be needing any additional oral surgeries, but if I do, I will absolutely be going back!
