The medical term for the trigger finger is stenosing tenosynovitis. It may also be called “trigger thumb” if your thumb is involved. The tendons that bend your fingers glide using pulleys, which hold tendons close to finger bones. When the pulley becomes too thick, the tendon can no longer glide easily as it’s supposed to. Trigger fingers are more common with conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, gout, and diabetes. Repetitive motions and strong gripping actions may also lead to this condition but, in most cases, the cause of the trigger finger is unknown.

Pregnancy
Pregnancy and childbirth are tough on a woman’s body. Because of the localized weight gain, the skin and muscles of the abdomen can be stretched to such a degree that they cannot rebound to their former tautness. Gaining two or three cup sizes along with the stress and volume loss of breastfeeding can have a similar effect on your breast skin and the underlying support muscles. Even if you’ve lost all or most of your pregnancy weight, you may still have pockets of abdominal fat that are almost impossible to eliminate. If you have stretched abdominal skin and muscle if your breasts have sagged and appear to have lost volume, and if you have pockets of abdominal fat, a mommy makeover could be a great option to regain your pre-baby body.

Ultrasound
One of the most common liposuction techniques is tumescent liposuction, which may be assisted by ultrasound or laser on an outpatient basis. During tumescent liposuction, a solution of saline, lidocaine (an anesthetic) and epinephrine (a blood-vessel contractor) is injected into the area being treated. The solution firms the tissue, making it easier to remove via cannula. The anesthetic is built-in, so there is no need for general or IV sedation, and blood loss is minimized. We use the suction cannula to break up fat cells and remove them.

Liposuction
Liposuction is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that uses a thin, hollow tube called a cannula to remove fat. The cannula is inserted through extremely small incisions then moved back and forth to loosen excess fat, which it suctions out using a vacuum or cannula-attached syringe. Treated areas look slimmer and more contoured and in better overall proportion to the rest of the body. However, liposuction is not for losing weight and is not effective at eliminating cellulite or tightening loose, sagging skin.
Breast Augmentation
