Global Gifts and Electronics

First things first: This store has bad reviews across the web, many from foreign tourists. If you are a tourist (or a local) and you have been ripped off by any merchant in the state of New York, please go to this website to file a complaint: http://www.dos.ny.gov/consumerprotection/



My experience was this: I bought a laptop, the battery did not charge. It was an old model, it turned out. At first, I thought it had been sitting around for years, but when I went to the manufacturer's website, I found out that the one-year warranty expired a year ago. I thought it was a new computer? Are they selling refurbs and discards as new? I don't understand, but I paid high for what I got and I don't think I should have to deal with this. When you buy from a shop, you pay a premium to see what you are getting. I understand that, but it should be new and functional. I disputed the credit card charge and am sending the computer back to them. I won't buy from this merchant again.



I should add that they tried to talk me out of taking the box the laptop came in. It's a tiny laptop and the box is very small, so I said I needed it to carry it home with me. There was no documentation, no warranty card. This really makes it look as though they are getting them somewhere in bulk and reusing the boxes so they look new. Of course, I can't say for sure, but I would not trust this merchant again for electronics.

I love this store - for everything you need and can't find elsewhere. Great product design. Great stuff. Global Gifts & Electronics Inc is one of my favorite stores for all the things that you didn't realize that you needed!!

I'm a newbie in NYC and i was need to buy a filter for my camera...

i go to it, and there told me about low prizes... i belived...

they sold me BOWER DIGITAL SUPER WIDE 0,42X AF LENS at prize of $500!!!!



but later i looked it over internet and i cant find that one. so it could be: very and very old device or just fake.
