As far as Health Foods Restaurants go, this is the best in NYC. There may be better Health Food Restaurants somwhere else but this is the best in NYC. There's a huge menu of both cooked and raw selections. The ambiance is charming. The owner is from Spain and the decor resembles the warm, dark and cozy interior of a Spanish Bistro. There is usually live music in the evening and a good selection of of CD's composites. The food is organic. It is a cozy casual restaurant. It's warm in the winter and cool in the summer. The staff is young and friendly. There's wine if you so choose to imbibe. The owner is gracious and sweet as his name "Angel". Happy to sit and talk with you if you'l like and he's around. In the evenings the place is usally crowded so it's good to make a reservation. I am mostly a raw foodist so the salads are fabulous and generous but from my friends and family they enjoy the generous portioned cooked vegetarian selections. Definitely a place to go for Health Food. As my friend visiting from Seattle said..."This is the place I would eat at every night if I lived here.". Don't miss it, you won't be sorry and could be on the list of your regulars.

I orderd a curry, giner stir-fry veggie with tempah and brown rice for $20. I was pretty shocked at the price and even more disappointed when I got my meal. It was light on the veggies and flavor, and heavy on the rice. I barely tasted the curry & ginger and I'm convinced that they actually didn't use a sauce but sprinkled ginger & curry powder on before serving. The service was horrible too.. It was not crowded and there were 4 guys standing around that wouldn't look at me because they didn't want to take my order or get the bill, ie. do their jobs.



To be fair, some of the other meals I noticed looked pretty fresh and good. And my juice was fresh and good but for $8 it better be.
