Capital Improvement

These guys came door-to-door asking to schedule free estimates for windows. Although we weren't actively in the market for new windows, we do have several fogged windows so we scheduled a time they could come back for an estimate. He did not inform us however that the "estimate" was actually a 2-1/2 hr long sales presentation. Think annoying vacuum salesman times ten! We stated numerous times that we were not aware it would be this long and that we had dinner, children, etc. to tend to (he was here from 5-7:30 pm) he nevertheless continued his sales pitch which was full of unnecessary information and needless repetitions (even for someone very interested in the product) in the end the final number was $28,000 to replace the windows, a number he was able to get down to $25,000 by lowering the glass package. Maybe that is affordable to some but not to us. If you're interested in hearing about capital improvement's products or naively schedule a "free estimate" please plan accordingly to allow them to be there for an extended length of time. I never like businesses that are too "sales-y" and these guys were just that. Very pushy.

I hired Capital Improvement to do the windows on my home. I was replacing old aluminum windows that were just ugly and not energy efficient. I replaced the aluminum windows with Capital's vinyl Ultimate 2000 windows that withstand winds up to 155 mph. I love my new windows and I am already saving on my entergy bill. I always compare my entergy bill with my next door neighbor and she used to always be a little lower than me but now that I have replaced my windows I now beat her every month by approximately $30.00. I was so happy with the crews to all of the people that I had contact with that I am now hiring them to replace the siding,overhangs and gutters on my home. This is really a great company. Very courteous, very helpful, just genuinely nice people all around.
