South River Restoration

South River Resortations (SRR) is the most “unscrupulous and conniving” company I’ve ever had the “displeasure” of doing business with. I had a mishap in my house back in October of 2017 and I’m still dealing with the fall of the damages caused by SRR “lazy and unprofessional” movers. Each department I’ve dealt with from SRR had been nothing but scam artist. They milked my unfortunate situation for as much money as they could. The movers had no less than a 3-5 people team each day to pack out 3 small areas and it took them 4 days when they quoted me 2 days. The guys who refinished the floor took 3 days when they quoted me 2 days, they did shoddy work, came back for another day (4 days total) to fix their work and my insurance company paid them extra money for doing a subpar job and coming back to fix it the right way. The contractors who did the drywall took 3 days when the quoted me 2, put touch up paint in my bathroom instead of completely painting it and when I addressed the issue, the shift leader lied to my face and stated his partner painted the whole bathroom when you could clearly see that wasn’t the case. It wasn’t until his partner told him “he did not” paint the bathroom that the shift leader decided to do the job correctly. Never did he apologize for arguing with me about the bathroom not being painted. The contractors who laid the rug did a decent job but some areas of the rug weren’t tacked down properly so they had to come back and fix it. When the movers moved my items back in, they didn’t unpack anything and put it in it’s proper place as they told me they would prior to packing me out. They broke quite a few costly items and now SRR doesn’t want to fix the items properly nor pay me what the items are worth. This has been a “horrifying” experience and I don’t want anyone else to ever go through the nightmare I’m still experiencing with this company and their third party contractors. I can’t believe that USAA would allow such a company to be associated with them. I no longer trust USAA like I use to. I’m extremely disappointed in all parties involved.
