The Department of Public Welfare offers a range of human service programs to the residents of Pennsylvania. Its homeless assistance program provides a variety of services, including case management, rental assistance, bridge housing, emergency shelter and innovative supportive housing services. The Department of Public Welfare s income maintenance office is responsible for the administration of cash assistance, food stamp, child support, home heating assistance, employment and training programs.
