I went to the I26 store this m...

I went to the I26 store this morning at 11:00AM. maybe 4 customers were in the store. As I was looking at holsters I was created and treated very well. I then told that gentleman I was going in the back rifle room to make a gun purchase. I went in the rifle area to purchase a Ar15 and a 1911. I waited for 15 minutes while ONE sales man was shooting the SH^T with a guy that wasn't even interested in buying anything. They were discussing FN and there bad sales practice they were also discussing how mossberg has money to burn and about how bad a Mac10 they had just sold was. All the while not a gun is being shown or any attempt to make a sale. I'm standing there for 15 minutes and I was NOT greeted, I wasn't asked if I needed help, I was ignored. I guess they didn't need my $2800 cash sale. I went to lawman's on broad river road. I'm glad I did because I saved over $300 as palmetto armory prices are very high. I will think twice before returning. I hope the owner sees this post. psa has gone downhill with idiots as sales people that care nothing about a sale but about bragging- they need to get rid of the kids in there and get real men. They also have girls in there just for eye candy. God help you if you ask them anything weapon related or what they have. The eye candy girls have to go ask everyone else (SMH).

Overall
I had fairly high expectations...

I had fairly high expectations of this store due to my dealings with the newly opened branch in the lowcountry. I arrived this morning about 30 minutes after the store opened. I was disappointed to find that there were no available complete uppers in the store because that was the main reason I went. I do understand that it can be difficult to maintain stock of certain items at particular times of the year. I was asked 3 times if I could be helped while I was stooped reading labels on packages, however, when I was standing at the counter waiting to be helped, it seemed that all of the employees were occupied (some with customers, but most not). I was quite shocked at how many items were not stocked on the shelves. Two items I came for had to come from "the back." Obtaining these items proved tricky for the employees, but after two trips to "the back" and three separate occurrences of me asking if the items had been obtained, I was finally able to take the items in-hand. It seemed as though the staff had a difficult time working together. When it came time for me to check out, I brought my items up to the counter and waited for several minutes while the staff seemed to be huddled around one customer at the counter. Finally,I asked if I could be helped as a staff member passed by the register, and at my request, he was very willing to help. I took note of the time and realized that I needed to hurry as I had spent more time in the store than I had planned for and this was an out-of-town trip for me. In the middle of scanning my items, the staff member seemed to get distracted and diverted to a conversation with another employee. Normally, I wouldn't have minded, but I happened to be in a hurry today, and it was a bit rude. In summary, due to the lack of cooperation between staff members/ sub par customer service and poorly stocked shelves I do not believe I will be revisiting the Columbia store. I still appreciate the fair pricing, and will probably revisit the Blufton store and continue to shop at Palmettostatearmory.com.

I wanted to purchase some ammo...

I wanted to purchase some ammo based on their web site. I entered the store and there were 3 people behind the counter, one person was helping a customer and the other 2 were wandering around. I began to look through there ammo selection which was a little overpriced for the ones that had been priced. I probably walked around the ammo wall for 10 - 15 minutes; I had not been greeted or asked if I needed any help. The other associates disappered into the back room while there were probably about 5 customers in store not including myself. If I wanted to be treated as such; I would have gone to WalMart. Their tartget loads are cheaper anyway.

Excellent Service

My wife and I recently visited Palmetto Armory to look for a firearm for my wife. Immediately after entering, we were greeted by a professional and courteous staff. They went far beyond any normal expectations to help us select the right firearm for us. All the staff is extremely knowledgable and they even took the time to dissassemble the gun and show us how to properly maintain it.The facilities are brand new and they feature a wide selection of many manufacturers. I highly recommend this establishment (so much that I returned two days later to buy another firearm) for anyone who is in the market for a new firearm, accessories, ammunition or reloading supplies.
