I would totally recommend Malhereks heating and cooling! Mr. Malherek is very professional, yet he makes it easy to understand what he needs to do to fix the problem. He continuously explained what he was doing and why! He's very nice and respectable! Also I payed a lot less for his services compared to all the other companies!

I love offering great reviews to small companies when they do a fantastic job, sadly this is not one of them. We had this company sent to us by our our home owners warranty and it as a waste. We were changed for no services and to just be told that nothing could be completed - so then we asked for solutions to get air into the rooms and a bid for the work (outside what our home warranty would cover) and were told that he didn't have time to deal with our issues today and would have to come back. I think it's pretty simple - we were asking for a bid to GIVE YOU THE WORK and money and you walked away from it. I totally understand with home warranty house calls it can be a different situation, but thats no excuse for bad service. We contacted our home warranty regional manager to notify and they said what happened was un called for as well and if no work was completed, we should not have had to pay, or that he should have called into the home warranty company to discuss the issues. I would not recommend this company. I hate to leave a bad review, I really do.

When I spoke to someone at Malherek's Heating & Cooling, an appointment was set between 10 am and 2 pm the following day to repair my air conditioner. At 1:40pm the next day, I decided to call the company because no one had arrived and I had not heard from any service person. No one answered, so I left a message and waited. At 2:10pm, I called again and this time the service person answered the phone. After explaining who I was and why I was calling, his rely was, "Umm... I guess I should have called you earlier. There's been a lot of rain so things are running behind. I'm not gonna make it out there anytime soon." I told him I would find a different company and that this was completely unacceptable. The weather forecast predicted rain that entire week and that excuse did not validate the fact that no one from the company bothered to contact me at any point. I waited around for over 4 hours when I had many other things to be doing and lost an additional day of renovation on the house because it was too hot and humid for painting to continue. I contacted a different company (Cool Heat Plus) and they showed up promptly at 8:30 am the next morning.

Be sure you get your estimate ...

Be sure you get your estimate in writing! I was quoted a price this morning over the phone and then charged 75% more when they got here! They didn't even fix my heater because the price difference was so extreme! Several hidden fees including a travel fee that I wasn't told about and a labor fee on top of a diagnostic fee even though all they did was the diagnostic! Plus they gouge the prices of their parts! Tried to charge me $75 for a non-programmable thermostat (claiming the warranty was what made it so expensive) when I just bought a programmable one from Wal-mart with a warranty for $25 (plus a $25 rebate from the power company). Buyer beware....get everything in writing with this company!!!!
