I called this guy because I thought all I needed was a jump start. The jump didn't work and he started trying to convince me that the engine was busted because it was an interference engine. Then he went on to saying what a great deal he will give me, fix it in four days for only $1400 and to show me how generous he is, he would drop the towing fee... Knowing then what I know now, I would have known immediately that he was trying to scam me. First of all, any decent mechanic would know that interference engine will get damage only if the timing belt break when the car is in motion! This car stalled when I was starting it that morning. It took $30 for the price of the timing belt and four hours of work for an honest mechanic to fix this on the spot, right at the parking lot. He also offered me $200 to get it off my hands! So he could fix if for peanuts and then sell it. People like that are a downfall of this society...
