Overall

We were recommended Lynda's and called because of a refrigerator that went out. They answered our call quickly and were extremely helpful, even leaving a loaner. I would reccommend them to anyone for quick and efficient appliance work.

I had originally called Lynda's Appliance Repair because a transmission had gone out on one of the washers in our laundry mat. They were referred by Mike at Wasco Laundry on Old Palafox. John (the service tech) was kind, helpful and informative when I called. I asked him if they accepted "NET 30" terms (invoice paid within 30 days), he said that would be fine. I also asked if they carried insurance and he assured me that they did ("and we do business with quite a few business in the area and they require insurance, also"). John came out and picked up the washer to repair at his location and then returned the washer after the repairs. I was so excited to find a repair person that was reasonably priced and efficient and had even made arrangements to have our dryers cleaned out (also at an excellent price). I would have given 5 stars except that when I requested insurance for the future work on-site, Lynda called and said that they refused to carry insurance "due to the cost" and "If you insist on us having insurance, we will not be able to work together" (Her tone suggested that she was certainly insulted that I asked for insurance). When I asked for a W-9 for tax purposes, Lynda said (her words), "No, I won't send you a W-9 because the work was not more than $600". At this time, Lynda also asked for a credit card for payment because she had "never heard of NET 30" before. When I explained that I had cleared the terms through John and all of our expense checks were issued through corporate she capitulated. I explained that John had not left the invoice here and would need that invoice to submit for payment. I am very sad that we would not be able to continue working together, but after speaking with Lynda and being on the receiving end of her "customer service" skills, I feel that I am better off not doing business with them and to continue looking elsewhere.

Quick fast appliance service

I've used Lynda a few times and have recommended her to others. She is quick, efficient and has fair prices. She repairs only what's needed and I've never had to call her back to fix the same problem twice.
