Overall

It is truly unfortunate I am unable to give a rating of 0 stars, because "Let Frank Do It" is completely undeserving of a one-star rating. Working with Frank was an excruciatingly painful experience from the start. Our practice had solicited information at every step of the project; no information and no updates were given without prompting from us, ‘the customer’. The initial payment on our project was made in September of 2014, and the first attempt at installation of our door was not made until late May of 2015. This project should have been a 8-9 weeks from order to install.



Once the install was finally attempted Frank discovered that the door had been measured incorrectly (done at his initial visit in September). Frank decided that a new door would be ordered, and a turn-around time of one month from construction to installation was agreed and promised by Frank. Over two months later with no follow up again unless we prompted, the ‘new door’ finally arrived. The on sight project was supposed to take 2 days: 1 day to install the door, and 1 day to stain the door. Frank wanted to stain the door while it was on the hinges, which, in a medical (or any professional) building is unacceptable due to the fumes. Needless to say, the 2 day process stretched out significantly longer and the stain never matched in the end.



This door was also supposed to have a handicapped access unit installed after the staining was completed. We, again, had to solicit a follow up from Frank on a date planned to install this handicapped unit. We could not get a firm answer; at this point, we dismissed Frank from the project. We could no longer drag this project out and we absolutely could not waste any more time trying to guide Frank’s business. Following Frank’s dismissal, we asked our building engineer to take a look at the handicapped unit that Frank ordered (back in May when the first attempt was made); we were informed that the unit would not fit this particular door nor our door frame! I attempted to call the vendor directly to expedite the process of a return; I was told that returns needed to be made within 15 days of purchase. This purchase had been prior to the failed initial project attempt. Needless to say, we were far past that 15 day window. This money was given to Frank to purchase this handicap access. I approached Frank for a refund directly. He communicated that occur since he had been dismissed from the project. So now we have a handicapped unit, which we did not choose, but did pay for, and are unable to use.



Throughout this tumultuous project, Frank's attitude could not have been more unprofessional. He was rude, abrasive, and accusatory, constantly placing blame on anyone and everyone else for the trouble incurred along the way. Every single staff member and manager that interacted with him commented on how unacceptable his demeanor was. The staff that he had working on the door install was less than professional as well!



In summary, if you want a project done correctly, in a timely manner, and by a pleasant/professional business individual, please never "Let Frank Do It".
