A place where the self starter. Often self trained designer CAN take their creations from the basement. To the boutique. And on to the bodies of those that are looking for the uniqueness that underground fashion CAN OFFER. SET to launch in early 2014. Independent runaway LLC is a NEW York based retail store dedicated to helping underground clothing and accessory designers sell and promote their merchandise to the public. OUR mission is to give these UP and coming designers more exposure and more resources through OUR community than they would have on their OWN. The flagship store will BE located in a shopping district in NEW York city (Manhattan or Brooklyn). And we will Also have an online store to reach customers ALL across the us. The store will only carry merchandise made by underground designers and help them promote their label without having to DO ALL of the LEG work themselves. Designers WHO are approved to BE members of Independent runaway LLC will keep 100% of the selling price of their merchandise sold in the store. The only requirement is to PAY a monthly membership FEE to have their merchandise carried and marketed in the store. Independent runway LLC was created by RON lewis. An advertising ART director by DAY. And a start UP T SHIRT/FASHION designer by night. Through experiencing the hard work and frustrations of starting and promoting HIS OWN label. Sentiments shared by many other designers around the city. RON decided to create HIS OWN store to support people like himself. It will BE the ideal home for the late night 5 to midnight Independent designer.
