At a wellness exam, you should discuss your pet’s nutrition. A wellness exam only lasts about 15 to 20 minutes, but it is important to take a few moments to discuss what you are feeding your pet, how often, and how much. Many humans take vitamins, nutritional supplements, or herbal products and, like humans, pets can benefit greatly from them. Pinpointing nutrition problems and learning how to correct them promotes weight management and better overall health and wellness.

Emergency Care
Located just off I-43 in Delavan, Wisconsin, our facility is open to our customers as much as possible. In case of emergency during normal business hours, we do have urgent care available for your companion. For after hours emergencies, we also have services available. Please call 262-728-8622.
Immunizations
Microchips are tiny transponders, about the size of a grain of rice, that use radio frequency waves (RFID) to transmit information about your pet. They're implanted just under the skin—usually right between the shoulder blades—using a small syringe, much like a vaccination. It’s a simple, safe, and routine procedure.

Ophthalmologists

Glaucoma
Another thing that is often overlooked is your pet’s ocular health. Don’t dismiss runny eyes or lens cloudiness. Glaucoma is a common problem in senior pets; routine retinal examinations can catch early signs of glaucoma and possible future issues.

Internal Medicine
Dr. Kartzinel enjoys getting to know people and their pets. She is passionate about teaching owners and enjoys being a part of caring for each pet. Her areas of special interest include preventative medicine and nutrition as well as oncology and internal medicine.

Ultrasound
Dr. Hartwig enjoys all aspects of the veterinary field especially her interactions with pets and their owners. Special areas of interest also include surgery, cardiac medicine, ultrasound and rabbit medicine. Dr. Hartwig is an official veterinarian for the House Rabbit Society of Wisconsin and volunteers her time and services to Fellow Mortals, a wildlife rehabilation center.

The experienced and knowledgeable DLVC Veterinarians are dedicated to providing quality and compassionate care for your companion. In our clinic we offer state-of-the-art equipment and advanced services such as radiology, ultrasonography, echocardiology, laser surgery, and have a fully equipped lab, so all of your companion care is just a hop away.
