I see that Mr. Gates has gotten defensive w/ what appears to be a woman (based on the screen name), kind of cowardly if you ask me.

I too am another customer of Gates Roofing and am getting the shaft, and no matter how many times I called or emailed etc etc, my calls were rarely answered and if they were it was the same crap out of his mouth every time "I apologize and I do understand where you are coming from, believe me. I will have a guy out there to fix it tomorrow/today and of he doesn't show up by this time, then give me a call back."

And WHEN his guy didn't show, I'd try to call him back only to get no answer.



Upon doing some research, I have found that Mr. Gates has a shady record and has a record of a different kind.

He can't even pull his own permits and he knows why...he has someone else pull them for him so he can continue to screw other people who, like myself, didn't do the research before hiring him.

And I find it highly unlikely that Gates has a 97% approval rating, based solely on the BBB's website and the reviews on here.

Look them up on BBB's website, they have an F rating and below are just some of the reasons why.

Not to mention, I can't tell you how many phone numbers and addresses are listed or have been listed for this company...if this were such a great company, they wouldn't have to keep dodging customers, but that's the only reason for changing phone numbers and addresses so much.

It seems like the GOOD reviews that are being given on this site are done by none other than the owner of Gates himself.

I have never had such a horrible experience w/ a company before in my life.

I had roofing nails left all over my yard and debris to pick up when the "job" was done.

I had to take my son to the hospital after he stepped on a roofing nail.

The BBB's website has nothing but bad things to say about this company and it's owner...I wish I had done the research BEFORE hiring them.

Don't hire a company that gives you the lowest quote, b/c you get what you pay for.



Go with a better company!

My husband and I hired this company to install a whole new roof on our home about 2 years ago, and along w/ the roof, came a 15 year warranty on the roof itself and any damages that may result from their "workmanship".

Well, Tropical Storm Fay came along and the strong winds blew rain right up under the roof and into our home.

We called Gates to have them fix the roof where the water had leaked through, and one of the women who works there told my husband that there would be someone sent out in a week or so to fix the patch of ceiling and wall in our bedroom where the water damage was and STILL is.



We gave it about 2 weeks and we didn't hear a thing from them, so my husband made several attempts to get ahold of someone about the remaining damage, but each and every time, our attempts are dodged.

I absolutely would not reccomend this company, find 1 that follows through w/ their contracts, that would be MY advice.
