Nutritional counseling from our dietitian and/or nurses on the types of foods, supplements and diet that can assist with wound healing.
Primary Care
You can elect to stay under the care of your primary care physician if he/she is willing to provide hospice care to you and coordinate regularly with the hospice team. Generally patients elect to change to the hospice medical director, but either way the physician and hospice team will arrive at a plan of care that is best suited for the patient.
Emergency Care
Emergency Department Physician Responsibilty (On-line Medical Control): The Emergency Department personnel need to understand the EMS/DNR directive, how it is to be honored. In addition, they will act as a support for the EMS personnel, intervene in the pre-hospital management of a patient and interface with the attending physician, if it becomes necessary.
