Eastside for Hire

First, the driver did not know what a "round trip" is. His driving was only slightly better than his English. I have him the address, but let him know I know a route that's 4.5 miles, instead of the directions whatever app he was using turned up, cause he said it was 10+ miles.

Now, he did (barely) manage to follow my instructions, but when we got to my 4.5 mile destination, he told me he had to charge me for 10 miles. I pointed out we hadn't gone ten miles, that we had gone 4.5 miles, and again tried to communicate that it was a round trip fare. He didn't understand, and repeated that he had to charge me for ten, and if I wanted to get home, he'd have to charge for 20miles, which would be like 45$.

I very reluctantly paid the 10mile fee, and told him I'd walk home.

Now, I just got home, I don't believe I have super human walking abilities, but walking what he said was ten miles took me 48 minutes. Now a quarter mile of that walk home was by bus, but even if it had been 65minutes of walking, ten miles is simply not possible.

I've done this before, and the previous driver knew what a round trip was, he realized the apps directions took us twice as long as my directions, and compensated for it, the total was 32$ for a round trip.

So I don't know if east side for hire's drivers

1-don't understand English

2-don't understand what "miles" are,

3-or just want to rip you off in the name of a flat rate while assaulting your sense of smell with spices like you're in the kitchen of an Indian restaurant.

F. Massive fail. Unless you're going to the airport or something, avoid this company at all cost.
