Stay away from this guy; He will be your worst nightmare

The Lies start with, his comment “I know exactly what you want”, and gets worse from there.

He will tell you a reasonable time frame to do the job, then once he has your money the games will begin. Count on it taking twice as long.

He will start on your house like the world is on fire, then at mid point he starts slowing down, His work days will be shorter, and progress will come to a crawl. He will not order supplies in a timely manner, and then blame his suppliers for being late. He will also start using substandard products on your house. Such as spray painting white aluminum trim to color match your choice of material. If he didn’t get away with it the first time he will only try it again. You will find as the project comes to the end he will short cut his work and not care what the finish looks like.

Before your house is done, he will put a lien on your home, and then demand payment before the city has inspected it. Forget about a punch list, as for as he is concerned he is done and if it is convenient he will get to it in a couple of months. Don’t be surprised when the bill is greater then he quoted, Doug doesn’t like to tell you how much of your money he is spending.

This guy is great at acting like a victim, when in reality he is the problem. I really regret hiring this guy.

I recently had Vaughn Construction build and install a custom bookshelf and entertainment center for my house. They were very professional and consultative during the whole process. I was unsure how I wanted it to look, they drafted up sketches that helped me visualize the end result. They had the work completed on schedule and the final product exceeded my expectations. I was very impressed that they went above and beyond to find a stain/lacquer finish that was a perfect match to my existing furniture. It ended up being reasonably priced and will definitely use Vaughn Construction for future projects.
