My daughter fresh outta health tech and going to school for nursing at Rhodes State got a job there...the very night she came home she was in tears about the way residents are being treated and the things that are being done illegally. For instance a man who sleeps on another resident's floor then left sitting all day in chair because there is no room for him, there is a hoyer lift being used on one resident by people who have never been trained and are not allowed by state to use it so when state comes in they hide it in a locked closet and the boss says if they get caught she knows nothing about it. One NA threatens to slap a resident and let me remind you these people have dementia. My daughter is told to clock out for a 45 min break yet has to work through it and does not get paid for it, so what happens if she gets hurt and she's not on the clock. I highly urge against using this facility for family or friends and I would also recommend not working for them...this is my daughters last night and I am very proud of the fact she won't be part of that anymore. My purpose for writing this review is to hopefully save at least one person from the heartaches that my child has witnessed in a very short time. There's a lot more than just this going on, however, it would take too long to post it all...my heart goes out to the residents who live there.
