Carol House Furniture

After years of buying & being happy with furniture from Carol House they sold us 2 Bauhaus sofas that they said there cushions would hold up because they had coil springs. After two sets of cushions in 10 months after the cushions would sink every time you sit, we opened up one cushion from the first set to what kind of coil springs they had. It didn't have any! We checked the tags I saved and they state they have Premium 1.8 high density polyurethane foam and coil seat cushions thickly wrapped with polyester fiber. Even after we showed them that they are recommending sofas with false information, their salesman were still unaware of the Bauhaus not having springs and still recommending them because they have coils in the cushions. After we asked for our money back they said only if we pay a 20% restocking fee because we used the sofas for 10 months. Their sinking cushion sofas. We wish we had our 15 year old sofa, it's cushions were much firmer.

Purchased a bedroom set a year ago, went back for more items in the collection, customer service was great , still had merchandise in the warehouse. Always great service!!

The selection was very nice and was a comfortable place to shop compared to other furniture stores.

After being underwhelmed by the selection and styles available at other furniture stores, we finally went to Carol House to buy new tables for the living room. Very pleased with our purchase. Should have started here.

We recently went to Carol House in Valley Park as our last stop to make sure we wanted to purchase the furniture we had already picked out from another store. We walked out of Carol House with 3 rooms bought and very happy with all the great service! So glad we came in and bought the furniture. They have furniture that will last and offered great deals. We also qualified for the in home decorator to make sure the living room furniture we picked out would work. She was so helpful and we have had nothing but a great experience here! Will refer to all our friends and be happy to come back when we need more furniture.

On our first visit to Carol House in Valley Park my husband and I were both very pleased with the service and selection. Our salesperson Trish was extremely nice. Purchased a dinette set. We were told it would take 8 weeks, and I received the call saying it would be in next week in less than 3. Pricing was very competitive they actually lowered the price to beat another store. Very pleased

I'm very excited about the sofa, love seat and chair we just ordered. Carol House has a HUGE selection of high quality furniture and the sales people are very helpful and willing to work with you according to your needs and budget.

Went there over Weekend and worked with Tricia who was great! my son who is 12 found just what he wanted for new bedroom set, she was able to point out which set would hold up, but give him the flexibility he wanted, and grow with it. No pressure either form her.

Recently had the pleasure of working with Patty Makarewicz on a new bedroom set. Patty was knowledgeable of her competition (but did not talk bad about) and confident about the product she sold in a "no pressure" sale situation. Very excited to have the bedroom set delivered and set up at no extra charge. I am usually one who has buyers remorse, but no regrets following this purchase. I will give high recommendations to Patty and Carol House for friends and family!

I have been shopping all over St. Louis for furniture. I have worked with a bunch of sales people over the past two weeks buying furniture for my home. I have purchased over $5000 in furniture in the past two weeks.



I received the worst customer service from Carol House in Maryland Heights. The sales person keep pushing me for a down payment while I was there and then again after I called back up. I was going to buy there even though she was rude and called me the wrong name. Next thing I knew the sales person hung up me. I called back up and asked for the manager and he did even offer an apology for her.



Carol House has the worst customer service - I will never shop there again.

Ordered a wonderful chair for my family room at Carol House today! No other furniture stores in this area have such a large selection of quality and affordable pieces. The sales team is wonderful, helpful and very informative. No pressure, and they let you browse without feeling like you're being stalked as with so many other places! Can't wait to get my furniture delivery!

Great experience shopping today. Bought sofa, chairs and a Serta mattress. All very comfortable and wonderful selection. We had shopped several stores before we went to Carol House. We should have gone there first!

We just purchased a bedroom set from Carol House for our first home! The furniture looks great and they reduced the price without us even asking them to! Great experience!

I had hopes of making a purchase at Carol House because of it's reputation and to keep the sales dollars in the St. Louis area - we had the option of buying directly from the manufacturer. However, we were required to pay for the item even though they didn't have it in stock. 2 days after paying the dining room set, we were informed they could not get it. Now, 2 weeks later, we can't seem to get our money back. We've discussed this with the salesman we worked with who promised it was being handled, but still no refund. Apparently, their reputation does not truly represent their ethics.

I would like to warn anyone considering employment at Carol House to do their research. The management staff is manipulative and vindictive. They will do whatever it takes to take your sales. Their only concern is getting in your pockets. Jeanne Spooler and Marc Hulsey are both liars. They start during your interview, trying to sucker you in with grandiose stories of all of the money you will make. Heed my advise. Take a look around at the other sales people. Do they look happy? Did you witness a sea of expensive cars in the employee lot? The answer is no. The "draw" check is less than unemployment, and you will be lucky to ever see a commission check. Oh, and the "bonus program".... give me a break. They feed sales to the sheep that they like, and let the rest starve. They should put a sign in the front of the store "abandon all hope ye who enter here". Good luck!

Even though Carol House had to order my love seat they did their best to get it before my out of town company came. It got here several weeks before they said it would and BEFORE my company. Great job Carol House. It looks beautiful.

Beware of Free Delivery: Carol house said Free delivery on all furniture above $500. They were unable to deliver furniture as they couldn't fit the furniture through my apartment door. They treated this transaction as a return and charged 10% restocking fee. I felt cheated as we never sat on it or delivered to my house and had to pay a restocking fee. Feel very disappointed and would avoid them in future.
