Carahills II

My wedding was at Carahills II last year and while the venue is beautiful, I rated it 2 stars because of the owner/operator. Be warned that Caroline is a bit of a control freak. She will wait until after you sign a contract to tell you all the things that you cannot do or have in her venue, including what vendors are no longer welcomed there. Given her some time and she will even tell you some not so nice things about other couples that were married there which is completely unprofessional



In a nutshell, she has a vision for how your wedding should go and if you deviate from her vision, she takes it personally. You can also expect NOT to get your full deposit back, she will find something to charge you for no matter how tidy your guests or vendors are. Nevermind that the floors are concrete, if something gets spilled on them or if someone leaves a scuff mark, it'll cost you an additional $100 minimum.



Don't get me wrong I don't have any regrets, my wedding was beautiful and everyone had a wonderful time, but I just felt compelled to warn any unsuspecting couples mainly because since my wedding I've talked to two other couples who were married there and they had a similar experience.. Again, although the venue is beautiful, had I known then what I do now, I would have booked a different venue. You've been warned!

Okay...So I thought that Carahills I was AMAZING-Now...they built a CARAHILLS II and OMG-its UNBELIEVABLE! I just booked my event there and I cannot wait...I am more excitted about the glass altar that looks out at a 200 year old sycamore tree. The staircase there is to die for too...It has a dueling staircase thats all iron! They have 3 different place I can get married at 2! The Manor, the Pavilion or the Gazebo-soooo many choices! I know my wedding at Carahills II will be FABULOUS! www.carahills.com
