Brake Check

My checking account was charged twice for repairs. Called the location to report the problem. Manager called me back and told me that "the accounting office had taken care of it". 24 hours later I am still waiting on a credit to my account. Called back and was told it would take 48 hours for them to refund the money to my account. THAT IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE. Issuing a credit to my debit card takes 30 seconds.

I took my truck into Brake Check (#942) almost a year ago to have my emergency brake worked on. The Service manager told me some insanely inflated repair cost and said I need a whole lot more than what I really needed. When the manager walked away, the technician told me it would be 1/4 what the manager quoted me. I tell you this to lead into my more recent interaction with Brake Check. I was having an issue with a caliper on my truck and took it to the same Brake Check. I told the service manager what was wrong and without even looking or examining my truck he told me it was some really expensive part that would need to be replaced. Needless to say I took my truck elsewhere and got new calipers.
