Best Bet Roofing

I contracted Best Bet Roofing Jeff Holsomback on December 11, 2013. The proposal and contract was $10, 460.00 well written and detailed out everything that I was suppose to receive. We put down the 50% and 50% was due upon completions. In a short time period he was completed and he ask my husband for the final balance.



This is the complaint: The installation comes with DRIP Edge all roofers do this and include this item. I found this out after I was looking at replacing some of the wood on the house and I told my remodel contractor I just re-did the roof brand new. He informed me that there was no Drip Edge. Of Course I am not a roofer and did not know what was drip edge was until now since I was told I paid for a service that I did not get.



When I emailed and called I did not get a response until in January when I called and said I was going to the Legal and BBB he finally called me back.



Jeff email, "I understand your concern as we did have a shortfall with the original install on the drip edge. It was left off the truck on the delivery so it was not a question. I apologize for that. We do plenty of houses that opt out of the drip edge. "



"I bought $200 worth of drip edge to do your entire home and I paid $200 for extra labor. My solution was to give you the drip edge pieces so your worker could nail them in because he will be working on the very boards they go on." "I already spent additional money to add to your roof and never once charged additional fees. "



So his outcome was that he got caught not installing the drip edge on the roof (Which he would of saved maybe $1,000 in materials and labor. And when I asked him to just do what is on the contract that I paid for at $10,460. His solution is to give me the drip edge and have me install it or pay another person to install it for $475. When it was his job and company to so do.



Buyer Beware that this company does not follow their terms and contract.
