Bette was very professional while giving a free consultation explaining the procedure and removing some of my chin & upper lip hair. I had been tweezing for years which made the hairs more course and dark. With those hairs finally gone I could enjoy my vacation without being embarrassed with facial hair. I would definitely give Bette a best star *rating.

I have had dark hair on my upper lip as long as I can remember. I'd finally had enough embarrassment and started tweezing in high school. I had always heard "don't shave - it'll grow back thicker and darker." Unfortunately as I began to research permanent hair removal several years ago, I learned that I was misinformed and in fact my 13 years of tweezing helped strengthen the hair root, causing the hairs to grow thicker and stronger, and making the permanent hair removal process even more difficult.



I spent 2 years receiving treatments from an electrolysist in San Antonio and was initially pleased with the results but within a year I felt my progress had slowed and I thought that all the years I had tweezed was slowing things down. My electrolysist in SA did an okay job but I wasn't seeing the progress I expected, she used an old machine, and sometimes she would pluck out hairs (a big no-no) because her machine hadn't properly zapped them. She also cancelled my appoints much more often than I thought appropriate. At this point I decided to find someone new and after some research it appeared that Bette at Austin Medical Electrolysis would be my best option and I began driving 35 miles every few weeks to receive treatments from her.



I have now been seeing Bette for 8 months (10+ treatments) and I am extremely pleased with her services. I wish I had began to see her right from the start of my electrolysis process. Bette is very professional and appears to be deeply knowledgeable in the field of electrolysis. I always get appointments when I need them, she's never cancelled on me, and only once was she running late and I had to wait about 10-15 minutes. She has a brand new high tech machine and she uses special flexible electrolysis needles. This equipment is amazingly effective and ensures that she zaps the hairs perfectly every time (no more plucking out the occasional hair). Honestly, Bette's treatments are slightly more uncomfortable than my past electrolysist, and she charges slightly more than average, but these "cons" are totally worth it because month by month I am seeing for myself how much more effective these treatments are - I am definitely getting the quality service I pay for. Additionally Bette has a special after-treatment that leaves my skin much less irritated and it heals so much quicker than I've experienced in the past.



Bottom line: Bette and her services are awesome. I've seen incredible progress on my upper lip; I can see the light at the end of the tunnel and soon this unsightly dark hair will be gone for good!
