It is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Ambulance Services. American Ambulance also responds to more than 80,000 calls annually. The company employs over 450 personnel and maintains nearly 70 ambulances. It maintains a specialized rescue team that responds to swift water, open water dive, high angel and mountainous terrain rescues. The company responds to critical care air transport needs in hospital settings through a partnership with Rogers Helicopters, which owns and operates SkyLife of Central California. American Ambulance is located in Fresno, Calif.
