This urgent care center is the better choice in my opinion at least you're treated with respect and professionalism. Also the place is clean and nicely kept, everything in its place. You feel like they really care about your wellbeing.

I took my daughter to AMC on 5/23/16 for a severe allergic reaction. The nursing staff and Doctor were amazing, friendly, answered my many questions without attitude and just overall wonderful to my two year old and myself.

Horrible Service and Bedside manner

I wish there was a way to give them less then one round thing. This place is a joke and they don't listen to you. The so called "Dr" stayed in the room with me for less then two minutes and didn't ask me what was going on. The place is very unprofessional and should be shut down. It was only a last resort that I went there and I won't be making that mistake again. I had been sick for over a week and just couldn't drive to my normal Dr.

Overall

I went to the AMC clinic on Saturday March 1 2014 I had pain and a fever from a swollen testicle that was twice its size. I was diagnosed with a urinary tract infection for which I was given medication including 10 tablets of pain medication ( which I did not ask for). They told me if it didn't heal in five days to return and they would refer me to a urologist. Even though the instructions of the pain medication said to take them every six hours I rationed them so they would last me five days. On the fifth day I was still in pain and returned to the AMC urgent care clinic. I asked for a referral to the urologist and asked for a refill of my pain medication. I thought since they would be referring me it would take maybe a few days so I would need maybe five tablets. When I was shown into a room the nurse (or a helper I don't know) asked me what I was in there for. I asked to refill my pain medication. That person nurse ? Immediately slammed down her paper work and went running out of the room. When she came back in she told me to go to the emergency room at the hospital which is the most expensive treatment they could have recommended. If they would have just examined the testicle she could tell it was still enlarged. They left it to a nurse to treat me rudely and basically threw me out. So I did what they told me to and went to the emergency room even though an ultrasound alleviated my cancer fears They ended up telling me to continue to take the medication I had and wrote me a prescription for pain medication. When I left my co pay was 500.00 which was probably not all of my bill. If they would have just stepped up and did their job they could have save me a lot of money. That was the most humiliating thing I have ever gone through. Avoid this place if you have pain.

I recently pulled my back whil...

I recently pulled my back while moving and choose this clinic as a quick solution. I checked in and received great service until I was getting ready to check out and receive prescriptions. At that point I was informed that according to the DEA website I was already being treated by another Dr. and dismissed with what felt like great disgust. I knew I wasn't seeing another Dr. and was wondering if I should be worrying about identity theft but was refused any further info. They would not speak to me or provide me any information to clarify the issue. After going to the pharmacy next door I found out the Dr. they were referring to was a dentist who had pulled all my teeth out and put in dentures 6 weeks prior. When I tried to speak with someone at the clinic about it I was once again dismissed and asked to leave. They already had their payment, made their judgments and were done. I understand they have to be careful when prescribing medication of abuse. I also understand there are dignified and respectful ways of dealing with an issue. They chose the other way and because of that I would discourage anyone from using this clinic when they have other options available. Once you check in and they have your money you have no recourse if they dismiss you for whatever reason.
