Alaska Car Transport

I had my Jeep Patriot shipped from New Hampshire to Alaska and it was to be picked up on 6-30, but was not. I had to call several times to find out why not, carriers in the area. How do you give a confirmation and not have the ability to pick up the vehicle? It then took over a month to arrive, and again poor communication from ACT. I had to literally call over and over and then hunt down where my car was and when it could be picked up.

DO NOT USE. After initially quoting me a price based on my home destination they called to inform me that the vehicle would only make it to a major city about 3 hours away... for the same price.

Then, on the day of scheduled delivery, i traveled and stayed overnight in a hotel after being reassured that the vehicle would arrive. Of course, it didn't - it hadn't even been picked up by the company yet - costing me $100's out of my pocket.

Their customer service was terrible and i was the one who eventually called the port to find out where my vehicle was, they refused to find out for me. A week later, i still don't have my car. Oh, and when i called to see what kind of arraignments could be made to get the vehicle closer they instantly started blaming me for the delay (are you sure you dropped the vehicle off on time?).

DO NOT USE! go with Alaska Auto Transport or someone with some better reviews.

My car and travel trailer arrived in Washington from Alaska with no damage and on time. However, the people at Alaska Car Transport hit me up with additional fees and basically lied to me about the shipping charges. Don't trust a thing they say!! Deal directly with the transport people as these guys are middle men making a living off of you! DON'T USE THEM!!!!!

Just terrible. When I was sold on their services (Sept 21st) over several competing companies, I did so because I was promised 14 days door-to-door service. Even their website declares 16-17 days to go beyond my location. In reality it wasn't even put onto the carrier truck until the 19th day after I delivered the vehicle to begin it's journey on the 23rd of Sept. Finally, on day 25 and counting I've been contacted by the driver and told "maybe" late Wednesday (2 more days) which will be 4 weeks later after being promised 2 weeks delivery. Despite contacting HQ now 4 times and being told twice that I would be called back (only once that actually happened to be told it would arrive within 4 more days (which of course it didn't) despite already being over a week late at this point), the only contact that has been initiated aside from myself has been from a dispatcher in Seattle who wanted to know if the car was a convertible despite having a full description of the car on hand. Alarmed, I called AK Transport and I was told that should never happen, but then received a second call about week later from the same dispatcher to inform me that car was still sitting in Seattle. Nothing about this experience has been easy. Nothing has been fast. The communication has been absolutely terrible. They were very, very helpful until the moment they had my money and have been zero help since that day. Finally, on the night of Oct 21st, the car has arrived. Other than steering fluid all over the hood that dripped on it from the car placed above it, the car is intact, but I am far from anything that could be described as satisfied with this service. I will never recommend any person ever use this service. Oh, did I mention that on 23rd of October (one month from the day I delivered it) I was finally contacted back to be given vague commiseration and a promise to look into it and get right back to me. Despite that promise which seems to be habitually spouted it is now another week since deliver and 5 days since they promised to get right back to me and as expected... no communication at all. So if you have a LOT of time on your hands and want to pay for a level of service you certainly won't get from my experience, then by all means go for it, but smart customers will look elsewhere for truly professional service.

DO NOT SHIP W/ THIS COMPANY! 1st time shipper, WORST experience ever! I was quoted a price and given a date on when my car would arrive. I thought everything sounded ok, so I booked the shipment, paid and dropped my car off at the port. Nearing the delivery date, I called to find out an estimated location of my car only to find out the DELIVERY DATE WAS DIFFERENT than what I was told. The rep. says "Who told you that date"? "Well, I don't know why they said that". "Everything I'm looking at says such and such date". (Like I pulled some random date out of a hat) "You need to read the fine print NO DATES ARE GUARANTEED"! Like really!! WHAT AN INCONVENIENCE! They'll say anything to you to get you to ship w/ them. Once you book and pay they already have your car and your money so not much you can do but to NEVER USE THEM AGAIN and to WARN others! Ohhh... And their online/phone tracking is BS. The only info they have is if it left the port and is on a truck, no other info on where your car might actually be. My mistake for not reading the reviews before shipping is what I told the rep. which in return she said "Oh don't believe that, it's not correct, all of those are because of bad weather". Like, hello!! I'm in freaking sunny California and I'm having the same issues as the other reviewers lady! This company doesn't even deserve one star. I just had to pick it in order to post this.

This pace sucks! My car was supposed to me here last Friday..I called they told me it would be on Sunday...no car Sunday, I called Monday they said it would be here that afternoon - no car, I called Tuesday and was told it would be here that day..no car...I called today, was put on hold for 10 minutes and they dropped the call. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Excellent service! I shipped my sons vehicle from Alaska to Texas and my overall experience with Alaska Car Transport was great. My representative Paul was helpful and easy to work with. The vehicle arrived in Texas on time and I could not have asked for better service.
