Overall

I cannot say enough good things about working with Aaron. He played for my wedding at the Blue Hole Regional Park in Wimberley, Tx August of 2013, and he was amazing! I would absolutely recommend him and I would honestly book him again for any kind of event.

Reasons Aaron Goldfarb Rocks:

1) Fast responses. Aaron responded to my emails very quickly, sometimes within minutes, and I don't think there was ever an entire 24 hours that passed without a response. There are some vendors that take forever, some that reply but don't answer every single question you asked, but Aaron always answered quickly and in full.

2) Amazing attitude! His emails were always professional, accommodating, friendly and kind. When he showed up at our wedding (30 minutes earlier than requested, which is fantastic and such a stress relief in my book), he had a great big smile, was incredibly pleasant and polite and seemed genuinely happy to be there.

3) He never told me no. I cannot tell you how amazing it is to ask a musician to play for your wedding only a month in advance of the date and hear yes to everything. First off, I only contacted him a month before the wedding and he agreed to squeeze me in and was incredibly patient while I figured out what date we wanted to elope on. Then to ask the musician to learn 3 new songs that you want him to play (yes, 3 and for free!) and to have him say that he can absolutely learn them (only two weeks before the wedding, even) is so wonderful! At the last minute, less than a week before the wedding, my now-husband decided to ask Aaron if he would accompany him during a song so that he could sing for me during his vows. No rehearsal, almost no heads up, and not only did Aaron say yes, but he did a beautiful job playing while my husband sang.

4) Truly talented. Everything I have said in the first three reasons I listed were examples of how professional Aaron is. He is also incredibly talented. His playing was beautiful and consistent, the tone quality and finger work was excellent (even in an outdoor setting), and his timing was very good so that the entire event went smoothly.

5) Takes away all the stress. Aaron is easy to work with, produces a high quality service and was smart and professional. He caught on to cues in the ceremony immediately, he didn't even blink when my minister skipped his solo (just added it in at the end while family congratulated us), his prices and terms were reasonable and his contract was professional and straight forward. He takes cash, check, and Pay Pal (which is what I used) and the option to use Pay Pal made me feel sooo much more secure in trusting someone I didn't get to meet ahead of time.

Overall I was very happy with my experience working with Aaron, and I wouldn't have asked him to change a thing (and I'm hard to please!). I was a music major in college, my mother is a music teacher, my father-in-law worked as a music professional, my father, new husband and sister are all musicians; we are genuinely music snobs. We are not easy to please, we have high standards in both the quality and professionalism we expect and we know when a mistake is made. Every single one of my guests complimented me on his playing, even the most critical musicians among them! He made the day even more special, and I couldn't be happier! My husband and I will be buying Aaron's cds and if we ever have the opportunity to hire a musician again for any kind of event, we won't look anywhere else. :)
