Our Center for Health Promotion provides free health education classes, such as: smoking cessation, weight management, diabetes management, and much more. Paradise Valley Hospital’s Center for Health Promotion also offers free health screenings, a walking club as well as a presence at community events and health fairs.
Stroke Rehabilitation
The emergency room at Paradise Valley Hospital has been certified by the County of San Diego as a Primary Stroke Center. This means that we maintain the highest levels of prompt, quality care for the treatment of stroke where every second matters. We have been recognized by the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association with “Gold Plus” awards for the treatment of stroke and heart failure.

Paradise Valley Hospital is proud of its more than 200 volunteers serving all areas of the hospital. Volunteers can choose to work at the information desk, patient care areas, emergency department, surgical waiting room and many more opportunities.

– Your CDC-issued COVID-19 vaccination record card (or WHO Yellow Card) with your name, vaccine type and date last dose administered. A photo (or digital image) of your vaccination record card. Documentation of COVID-19 vaccination from your healthcare provider. Digital record and QR code with your name, date of birth, vaccine dates and vaccine type. Radiology
It may be necessary to order blood tests, x-rays, or other types of tests to assist in diagnosis and treatment. Lab results generally take an hour, although your length of stay may increase when complicated tests or consultations with other specialists are necessary. Severely ill patients receive first priority. Our state of the art PACS system allows us to digitally record radiology scans, and therefore have those scans ready for evaluation almost instantaneously
