Transmission Store The

I know nothing about cars, but my 12 year old BMW has had a little "shudder" in the last couple of months, which I (and some friends) determined was likely a transmission going out...after 174,000 miles, I kind of expected that. I researched places online (can't stand the dealership), and came across The Transmission Store, who specialize in BMW and Mercedes transmissions. I had hoped it would be something less than an entirely new transmission, and called Marty. He was very nice and helpful on the phone, and recommended I bring it in so that they could drive it, and hook it up to the whatever they hook it up to to check for electronic faults. Anyone can imagine how happy I was when he told me my transmission was fine, and that a bad sensor was at fault (which I have since found is only 75.00!!). On top of that, he wouldn't take a cent for the trouble or diagnosis!



It is so refreshing to find honesty and integrity in the marketplace. I have no doubt that the dealership and most other places would have told me my transmission needed replacing, charging who knows how many $000.00s, and would have quietly also replaced the bad sensor which was really the root my problem!

I'll drive all the way from Murfreesboro anytime if I have transmission issues!

The work they did was great. The car runs like a top now and I cant say thanks enough. I was pleased with all aspects of the service.

Fine job by the Transmission Store. Their shop is refreshing to me as they are very honest. I don't normally leave a repair shop feeling that way, especially having work done on a part of the car I know nothing about.

I would give the Transmission Store my highest recommendation. Their facility was clean, communication was excellent (they actually do call you back), and the cost of service was fair. I appreciate all of their efforts to get my car back on the road.
