General Info: The Maintenance Division is managed by the Tennessee Department of Transportation. The division operates an asset management office that monitors weather conditions during the winter season, as well as updates road conditions. It also manages a rail regulatory section that oversees industrial site walkway, highway-rail crossing, and signal and train control inspection projects. The Maintenance Division operates an emergency management unit that handles cases related to earthquakes, floods, tornados and hazardous material spills. In addition, the division administers the Bridge Grant Program, which assists local government agencies with the replacement and rehabilitation of deficient bridges. The Maintenance Division is responsible for the design of landscape architectural projects.
