I took my Lizzie in for basic grooming. The staff were very friendly, the price was very fair, and my baby girl looked so great following her appointment. We moved over an hour away but will continue to use their services. 10 out of 10!

A few years ago we our forever pets. We meet Steve and Kelly and told them we were looking for another forever pet. They had a short haired German pointer who was left at their business. We went there and both of us fell in love with Lucy. She was just 2 years old and we took her and have had her ever since. We take her several times a year for grooming and cleaning. Steve and his staff, including Kelly, have always done an outstanding job on Lucy. I would highly recommend Tidy Dog to anyone who wants their pet well treated and taking care of.

This is a small biz i decided to visit after searching & searching for a professional, QUALITY groomer. I take my dog to show several times a month. The master groomer steve is professionally trained which shows in his work. He takes his work seriously and the end result is nothing short of perfection! I've been to shows & groomers in nearly every state in the union. Steve without a doubt has made me a believer when i thought all hope was lost. I happened to meet another customer while i was checking out my dog & found out she drives from Georgia every 2 months to see steve.....i can see why! These people are even dog crazier than i am..which speaks volumes! I don't usually take time to express opinions online....but this is the exception....which is well worth it! Bravo Tidy Dog! Thank you for making sasha a perfect lady!!! We will be back!! :)

What a great place to have you...

What a great place to have your dog groomed! The owner Steve is super friendly and really knows how to groom a dog. My 2 dogs (pomeranian and king charles cavalier) were just groomed there today and when I got home, my husband said its the best grooming job he has ever seen on our dogs!! We really knew how to style my pomeranian and king charles, which can be tricky. The prices are great as well, way lower than PetSmart and way better quality!

Awesome experienced groomers!

I have 3 dogs one of them the poodle is hard to handle. Steve does a great job with her! I can totally trust Steve and Kelsey! They have really turned the business around and they have fair prices. They even boarded my dogs when I went on vacation it was very reasonable! Highly recommend!

I am a repeat customer and re...

I am a repeat customer and recommend them to everyone who owns a dog! I have been using them for over a year now, and I am very thankful to have discovered them!

I own a miniature Schnauzer, so grooming is an absolute must. My dog had several bad and tramatic experiences at one of the local large groomers/pet supply stores in the area. They had cut her nails to the quick on several occasions, and now I am not able to trim her nails at home anymore. The last time she was groomed there, I was told that she had to be muzzled. I thought why?, because she's terrified of you because she was mamed by your groomers?

Needless to say, I never took her back there. I thought that a locally owned groomer would be the better option since my dog was now a "difficult" client and needed a kind, gentle touch. We stopped by Tidy Dog one day, just to check it out and ended up having an hour conversation with the owner and groomer giving us a chance to get a feel for them before we booked an appointment. It turns out that they are the kindest, most compassionate people one could ever meet! They enjoy working with "difficult" animals and allow themselves extra time to complete a grooming instead of rushing through and further tramatizing an already skiddish animal.

They have always done excellent work on our dog and never charge extra if our dog has matted fur, unlike the big chain groomer. I highly recommend this business, they have been a true blessing and I'd never consider taking my beloved "Sophie" anywhere else! Their groomer Steve is a true Rock Star in my eyes!

Tidy Dog is a wonderful, caring and experienced groomers. They have taken in a lot of stray, unwanted animals and found homes for them. The cut my dog received was GREAT, best he's ever had and they really care about their dogs. Thank you Tidy Dog for your passion for animals.

Stay away from here.

Please NEVER take your dog to this place, it's nasty, unprofessional and they cannot groom a dog. Took our little dog there and told them how I wanted him cut and also told them not to mess with his tail, next thing I know they are calling us saying they took him to the vet because one of their "students" cut his tail! The cut was not too serious according to the vet but they put a staple in it and taped it about 4 or 5 inches down his tail. They told me they would call me when we needed to take him back but they didn't I called and then it took the vet almost 20 minutes to get the bandage off because it his hair was stuck on the tape! I know that accidents happen but i did not take nmy dop to be groomed by a student and that was never mentioned. Moral of the story..........stay clear of this place.

I totally agree

I agree with your statement, they dont water the dogs also after being there all day and get very upset when you call to check to see if your dog is ready. As a matter of fact as i was awaiting for my dog to check out, i saw the owner man handle a dog, small dog. threw it on down on the table and showed who was boss...

I will never ever take my dogs there, and will make it a point to get the word out that

this is not the place to take your babies

Overall
DO NOT TAKE ANIMALS HERE!!!!

I have been grooming my dog for 5 years, every 6-8 weeks, have lived all over the US and have NEVER in my life had as horrible of an experience as I have here at Tidy Dog.

The owners/managers (not entirely sure which it is, as I could never get a straight answer out of them) are the most disgusting, low rent, backwoods people I have ever met. A complete lack of professionalism and cleanliness is all you will get out of this establishment!

The grooming is sub-par and tolerable if you can deal with a groom taking 7-9 hours (while your dog is pinned up without water, bleeding).

My dog not only did NOT receive his grooming (after 5 hours of being in a kennel) but when I came to check on his status was told it would be another 3 hours. At this point I asked if I could simply take my dog as I am not comfortable with him being kenneled for that long. The "manager/owner" stomped off saying "people just don’t understand how hard our job is". He disappeared into the back for a minute or two then reappeared with my slobbering, panting dog, handed him to me and said "I'm sorry we didn’t live up to your expectations". I replied with a thank you and walked out.

Fast forward to 2 hours later and I receive a voicemail from a woman stating that I had "walked out on services and would need to come back and pay for it or I would be arrested" as she had "metro in the business and if I didn’t show up before 6 pm I would have a warrant". This being the first reference of any money needing to be exchanged I called and asked the woman what exactly I owed and explained that I had spent the last two hours trying to stop the bleeding from my dogs nails and cleaning blood out of my car, clothes and house. The “owner/managers” response was that she “didn’t give a sh*t and all she cared about was that I paid for the services”. After all this isn’t “give you sh*t for free day” and hung up on me.

Cut to 2 hours late and 10 phone calls later of being hung up on, sworn at, threatened I finally went back to pay for my “services”. I had a metro police officer meet me there in order to protect my safety and allow the payment to be documented (as she had already contacted metro on my “theft of services”) the woman spent the entire time SCREAMING at me, calling me names, making statements of my check being “hot” and having to have the police officer and her husband step in to stop her from yelling and jumping over the counter.

WOW, as an upstanding, taxpaying, 40 hour a week, successful 20 something I can honestly say I have never in my life, no matter the city, state, or situation had someone be so unprofessional, frightening, threatening, disgusting towards me. Please, please head my advice and DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE BUISNESS.

this was a great read if your into total fabrication. as mgr of business i was witness to conversation. we had (now fired) a former groomer in training who along with groomer supervised groomed yorkie or pom. as any pro groomer knows these particular breeds can be very "antsy" & unstable on a grooming table especially with NO training. also VERY prone to "accidents" on the grooming table..more than other breeds. the slight cut which resulted from the dog "jumping" repeatedly toward the lady with scissors in hand. it happens in the world of grooming....obviously not intentional. we are fortunate enough to have great relationships with local vets if needed. a local vet confirmed it was tip of the tail that he stapled & told this "owner" to report back..which she NEGLECTED to do. the vet confirmed as she admitted to sitting and letting the dog CHEW off the end of the stapling of the dogs tail. she said she didnt "like" the vet so she didnt go back....yet she lets the dog chew off the end of its tail for 2 WEEKS and does nothing...by her own admission. the vet said that neither we or he is responsible when the owner of the dog does otherwise as he tells them. we both did what was required and he confirmed it was an easy fix with 1 staple. the owner decides to do otherwise & now has to get surgery done because of her own admitted negligence. as far as the business..we just took ownership & are in the move for renovations & updates. this shop was originally built for retail. in reference to the "backwoods" comment....also not true. weve seen a growth unlike any in the history (35+ yrs) of this shop & that speaks for itself. because of the loyalty of our angels we are now expanding! as an upstanding, taxpaying MORE than 40-hr a week person i can honestly say it never ceases to amaze me the lengths people will go to not hold THEMSELVES accountable for their actions as dog owners. if you decide to own a dog...do as bob barker says..spay/neuter & TRAINING works wonders!!!! ;) p.s. from the "southerner"

Tidy Dog

The owner did the grooming for my dog - said he "totally understood what I wanted". Yet when I went to pick up my dog - it wasn't anywhere close to what I had told him. I won't go back there again.
