Southern Optical

In mid february my husband, Joseph Barnes, went to the Eye Care Group in Humboldt Tennesee for new safety glasses. He works at Chicago Metallic in Humboldt who has a contract with Southern Optical to supply their prescription safety glasses. Now i don't know if it was the Eye Care Group or Southern Optical who is at fault for the first pair my husband ordered but i do know that when he hadn't heard anything about his glasses by the end of March i called to see what was going on. I was told that no record could be founnd of his order. After a few days and more than a few phone calls i was told that my husband would have to go in and reorder his glasses which we did the next day. On a thursday in early may i got a call saying his glasses were ready and we could pick them up on the following monday. When we went to get them his safety glasses had no side shields therefor they were useless to him. We were told that the side shields would be in in a couple of days. The next week we got a call that the side shields were in so i took my husbands safety glasses to get the side shields put on. Well the side shield did not fit right and were not permanently attached so they were still useless. After spending an hour listening to the lab tech at the Eye CareGroup arguing with Southern Optical on the phone i told the person at Eye Care Group to figure it out and call me. Well the result of all this was the frame my husband ordered (same one he chose the first time) was discontinued and he would have to go back and reorder a third pair of safety glasses. Now we are waiting for pair number three to arrive. As far as we are concerned this has gone beyond ridiculous to just plain flat out crazy. It has been well over three months since he orderd his safety glasses and we are no closer to getting them than in february when he originally ordered tbem. Needless to say we are NOT happy customers. If i could i would give less than 1 star but there are no negative stars on the scale.
