Dr. Shipp is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), American Academy of Dental Practice Administration (AADPA), American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM), Tennessee Dental Association (TDA), Nashville Dental Society and several local study groups. Dr. Shipp has completed numerous postgraduate courses in advanced dentistry, smile design and sleep apnea. He has served in several leadership positions for the Tennessee Dental Association, including Tennessee State Peer Review Chairman for three years and State Host Delegate.
